Anyone used new Planter's Pride Gel Clone kit

I went to OSH today for some peat pelets and they had a whole new display of Planter's Pride products. They had some cool stuff and in particular they had this "Gel 2 Rott" kit. It is a all in one kit that looks like a six pack a pudding. I each little cube is filled with rooting gel and is covered with tin foil. You poke a little hole in the tin foil and stick the stock into the gel. They say three to each cube, giving 18 clones in one little kit. No water, no nutes. It seems really cool, took some cutting today. i will keep everyone posted, wondering if anyone else has seen this or used it I did a search and nothing came up. here is a link to their site.

Hey DJ ,saw the same stuff at OSH bought 2 six packs gona givit atry .Ihave 3 deferent ways to try cloning right now gona chose the best .Been a newbie to this stuff avery lil thing helps.

finally someone with a response. How long ago did you start yours. Let me know what kind of results you get. I think this is one of the coolest products I have scene in a while. I hope it works.

Do you know how long these things have been out or know anything about Planter Pride, they seem like a interesting company. They got some cool products. I bought the self water seedling tray too, seed starter kit and their coco pots. We'll see how their products work. peace dj.highst

Hi there guys,
I think you are talking about the same thing I tried once before I got my PT-20?.

Is it a clear gel type stuff yes?.

I never had any plants root in it over a 3wk period when it was takin 7-10 by hand, however I removed the foil from the top completely so that may well have made a difference??.

I can say that they are excellent for keeping clones in stasis!, they don't droop at all. I ended up using the pots I had left for sticking a flowering male branch/cut into while I collected the pollen.

Tried this overpriced junk a couple of years ago , canna did nothing in a month and little else would root in it.
Took them back and got a refund.
