sucks.

sucks.

Heard 21 collectives are being sacked.

My prayers are with those brave patients and caregivers in this time of grave concern for the medical cannabis movement.:comfort:

Why are you guys blaming Trutanich?

These criminals are admitting their crimes:

The city attorney’s office said people who were stopped near Organica admitted picking up large quantities of marijuana from the dispensary to deliver to other dispensaries.

These criminals are admitting their crimes:

Why should Collectives be banned from trading meds...
But if you are agreeing with the whole "D's are not allowed to sell meds" BS kind of thinking...then good!!
I made way more $$ when I was selling illegally...I can always go back to that. when they close all the D's--:good::snap out of it:

Media is misleading.

1 dispensary that had 2 locations was raided, 3 are in law suites, and about 16 received "warning" letters.

How many times has Organica been raided? They might as well make Organica chain dispensaries police stations. They got more pork then chinese super markets.

It bums me too when the herb just stops magically appearing at the dispensarys and requires human intervention...

Also... some of us laugh when we are a bit nervous...

Its legal to dispense... its not legal to dispense... There are over a thousand dispensarys.... but its not legal to dispense... but we are trying to cut the number of dispensarys down to 300... but its not legal to dispense...

Anyone else see a problem with these fuckin prosecutors logic?

Wow, and I though Colorado was bad.

This all seems like the last gasp of the drug warriors. It's clear that they don't want to lose their cash cow, and they're cashing in now before cannabis is rescheduled.

Same thing Wellpoint/Blue Cross is trying to do in CA by raising health insurance rates by 35%, before reform happens.

Organica Collective owner Jeff Joseph is taken into custody by LAPD undercover officers after a raid by federal agents and Los Angeles police officers at his marijuana dispensary.
Here's what worries me; the local's keep working with the feds, presumably because the state courts cannot/would have a hard time convicting. At least that seems to be what's going on here in Co.

Not a cop lover by any means but they're only doing their jobs, no reason to wish them dead for doing it. That's harsh as hell LOL But forreal that is some BS that's going on in LA

as broke as LA is they have the money to go after CO-Op's. Wow and you have to let go of 4000 workers because you're just about 1 billion in the red. What a f'ing joke.

I just hope our culture doesn't give up, we're so close, media is looking at Cannabis more realistically now, we just have to call the Federal Govt. on their Bullshit. Remember We the People have the Power, and we gave it to the Fed. Govt. We have Rights, they only have privlages, and we need to call them on Bullshit, and keep growing, just like REZDOG's crew.

I feels you on that man, I said something very similar in the main News thread about these goings-on

If it's as black and white as that, then why are there going to be any Ds allowed at all? Why haven't they been shut down by the POLICE for committing the felony act of sale of an illegal drug? They've only been around for what.. 20 years now? Why go through all this zoning and ordinance crap? They don't zone crack houses out of neighborhoods they go in and shut the shit down with SWAT teams.

Shutting down profitable businesses and rejecting the tax dollars of a legitimate industry at a time when the state faces a $20,000,000,000 (that's 20 billion dollars) budget gap between 2009-2011, not even mentioning the $85.5 billion in long term debt obligations; at a time when the state has cut school funding by 12% in the last year alone; at a time when government workers get IOUs thus helping contribute to the egregious rate of foreclosure over there... yea smart move LA. what are you gonna do, tax the movie industry more? you're gonna need more than Avatar to get you out of this mess

If they're currently illegal as is, and will remain illegal after the ordinance, what changes? What resources are going to come out of thin air and allow the police to take the time and shut all these places down. Are they expecting them to shut down on their own? What I'm saying is that absolutely nothing changes, they have all these new rules but the legality of the establishments, in your opinion, isn't changing. So why not look for a way to work with the current Ds on getting them "up to code" if you will and keep capturing that tax revenue? I agree with regulating them, but arbitrarily shutting them down out of no where is not regulation. That's discrimination. Closing at 8? Nowhere within 1000 ft of schools? Bring the number down to 70? These are arbitrary things, which really benefit no body. Especially not the terminally ill "real prop215 patients" you hold so dearly. There will be a monopolization of weed, Ds will be buying it even cheaper and selling it for even more (thus increasing the profit margin of those "criminals"), the lines will be stupid long, who knows how long of a drive/bus ride it would be to even get to one.. the list goes on.

We'll have to see how all this plays out.. hopefully one of the many legalization initiatives/AB2254 (AB390s new name) will pass and we can end all this "selling is illegal-selling's not illegal" tug of war mess.

Agreed that Organica had this coming. I do not feel that prison and raids are the answer however. There is a better way and L.a. county seems to want to push old policy with action, shame in my opinion.
