i found the cut and named it. came from a pack of blue satellite 2.2 x grape krush freebies bred by luaith/arawn. the cut is in 5 states now :) no restrictions or any of that crap. it should be shared so everyone has a chance to experience her :joint: i would like to breed her first and plan on taking her to a bubba kush x grape krush male soon. these will be made available as freebies to return the good karma.

5 weeks into her 10 week journey...

Carolina Blue, it still grows outdoors in West SC, East GA, Agusta GA indoor, and Myrtle Beach SC area indoor. Most people end up calling it "Dro" down there and have no clue what it is other than good...

How did you hear about it? I grow it.
Carolina Blue is a wild cannabis hybrid. Widow/blueberry X Wild Carolina. The old timers made it and it stuck as a DRO strain in the south for years. The phenos that dont herm are that which were made famous but you have to be good at selecting a mother in order to avoid the phenos that do. This plant was used outdoors because it seeded in the masses and returned every year without fail. A fella could easily pick the correct pheno from a massive crop and use it indoor without trouble. Most all the phenos are potent, unfortunatly the most potent happens to be a pheno that makes bananas around day 60. I assure you if you can handle a bean or too in your stash you will more than pleased with everthing else the plant will offer you. I love it!

philthy, you need to battle it out with woodsmantoker over here.....two different stories of the origin.......

woodsmantoker, don't know where your from buddy but around here, "dro" is what black people like to call beasters.....

never seen or heard of this strain, cut, till a couple months ago........
have some pretty well connected friends so i would have think i would have run across it if it was in the commercial market

but again people, i love the "history" and all, but that wasn't my question....

Growshower - I happen to be from NC and I can tell you that Black people use the term "dro" to describe weed grown indoors and hydroponically. Blacks in Carolina also call beasters, well beasters! I bet you can guess what they call stupid rednecks who try to "educate" others on how they speak and use their lingo...........................

On another note I havent heard of it in the home state and up until Philthy dropped his I was gonna name a cross something similar. My vote is for the Dj Short genetics to be given the name and not the hermie prone, wild growing, unworked swamp grass. Just me thougts tho.

ok, no need to be an ass rainman....i read my post afterwards, said it came off rude, and still this response? and i am sure you assuming i am a "stupid redneck" because i used the word blacks? you know what they say about assuming....

i agree with you, i have never heard of it until i saw philthy's, hence the reason why i asked

and still again, stop trolling this thread unless i can get an answer

and you do realize that this "logic" should fall under epic fail, you are trying to tell me what in fact black people call dro, when telling me i am a stupid redneck for saying what in my experience they call it

i hate to fall to your level and do this, but....your a fucking idiot

wow...

Well howdy, I am woodsman. I have been around a few... Spent 15 years in SC, but now enjoy life here in bush Alaska. Nice to meet you.

Yall can call your strains what ever ya like. I certianly dont care to take credit for anything. I simply told the story of Carolina Blue to some grower friends years ago and was asked to grow it out for a journal online. I did. I told the story of it, and I just thought it was funny that after I did, I found this thread. Might be coincidence, I dont know.? Dont really care, Ta ta, carry on!
:tiphat:
P.S. Sorry if links are no no's I only post this by request.

Oh yeah, the dro thing.

Carolina folks, "most all", know these terms well. Shwag, Dro, Cronic, Mexican, and Dank. Some how strains get lost in these terms... call it what you want
