Ok everybody, I haven't posted here in a while, and after quite a few grows, I think I want to make the transition to organic. I have been growing in the cap ebb and grow with the floranova series nutes. I have had ok results, the taste just isn't to my liking. I have been doing quite a bit of research on hydro and organic, and I have a few different nutes and mediums in mind.
I want to start growing in coco, I have seen great results in ebb and flow, I just don't know how it would come out in my recirculating bucket system? If anyone has any experience with that growing style your input is greatly appreciated. I"ll give you guys the rundown on the nutes I have in mind.
Pure Vida-I know this is a newer nute, but I have heard great things. It is fairly cheap, supposedly 100% organic, and doesn't clog. I have also geard that it doesn't contain any cal/mag so that might be a problem.
Roots Organics-I am also interested in this brand. I was thinking about going with their coco and their line of nutes. Their coco has a mix of perlite and pumice and also bat guana, worm castings and kelp. I don't know if that would be a benefit to me in my situation or not?
Humboldt Natural-I haven't really checked out this brand much, it is much more pricey than the other brands I have been checking out, but it might be worth it. And I also need a nute that can be used in a recirculating system.
And last but not least pure Blend Pro and Earth Juice. I have read through the stickys on these, and while I have them as one of my options, I'm not sure I really want to go with these. Maybe someone can change my mind.
So I'm growing in the cap ebb and gro, wanting to go coco(roots organics,bio-bizz,b'cuzz) not sure yet, and wanting to go organic. If anyone has any experience with one of these lines of nutes, or any others that might be better, I would appreciate your imput. I think I might make a poll out of this and see what happens.

Sorry guys, I've never heard of those. If there is a way to edit the poll and add some more options I will gladly do so. If you guys wouldn't mind, do you think you can post your nute recipes and any additives that you use. Also the style your growing and the medium your using. Thanks.

One thing I forgot to mention is that if any of you are using any of the mentioned nutes or ones you think I should have posted, please post your formula with any additives you may be using. Also post your growing style and medium, thanks.

The Roots soiless is a great coco/perlite blend. It has a decent amount of nutrients, but not too hot. We use it at work in our ebb and flow to grow veggies and it works excellent. I'll do an organic feed with the buddha grow, hpk, and molasses and the tomatoes seem to dig it. It is rather thick and soupy though so it has to be mixed really well. Pure Vida is a clean and easy formula. The organic matter has already been broken down and the nutrients are almost immediately available to the plant, so it might be a good organic hydro solution for you. It would definitely need some form of calcium and magnesium supplement. If your trying to use OMRI products you could use some Calplex and Huvega from organicare (botanicare)with the vida. I haven't had any personal experience growing buds with either but have heard great things about both.

PBP <3, but it is not omri listed organic, i would highly recommend this to you but if you are strong on going 100% organic its about 50/50 organic/chem. i will tell you this, finished products using the Botanicare line taste just like organic soil grown. if still interested in using it i posted my recipe on the PBP formula thread, its a sticky at the top of the organic hydro forum

Hey thanks for responding morris. Yeah, I've been checking out the stickies provided on this site. I've checked out everything I can about pbp and EJ here, but like you said, pbp is not fully organic, so I'm kinda steering away from that. There's just so much info out there that it is hard to make certain decisions.

you're in luck Sativa19, Botanicare just came out with a full line of OMRI listed stuff called organicare. i am a stickler for good advertizing and the descriptions of the stuff sound great, althought all the nutrients are spread out over like 6 different products, the stuff should be amazing if its anything close to the PBP line. hard to find Botanicares website the parent compant is called "americanagritech.com"

Considering this is the Orgaic section you might also want to include a selection for homemade nutes. Some of the die hards will have a fit if you don't.:) Simply trying to calm the sea b4 the storm.

For me tho Pure Blend all the way with a kick of Hydrozyme.

You could always use the PBP base which is organic/natural and then add some other additives from the organicare line such as Humega, huvega, seaplex and calplex. I'm thinking about running this as a cheaper alternative to the roots in my next project, I haven't decided yet. If your willing to fork over some money, Roots organics or the Advanced nutrients Iguana Juice line will deliver for you.

Yeah thanks morris. I've read a little about that but not much. I hear there additives are awesome. I was actually recommended using a different companies base nutes with their additives. I'm just not sure yet.

Thanks Mr.Wags, is there any way of me changing the poll? I realized I have left out quite a few top shelf names, but I'm not sure how to edit the poll. I would love to see some homemade hydro organic nute recipes.

I am most interested in the roots line or the advanced nutrients line, probably because they are huge companies and know how to sell their product. I'm willing to fork over the money for nutes, because the way I see it, I'm not paying ridiculous amounts for my weed anymore. But there are a lot of people who will say that some companies are far over priced and you can get the same results with cheaper nutes. Would you recommend using the full line from roots or advanced? The more I learn about advanced, the more I like it.

Hey 619sativa, I would go with the AN hands down. I've had nothing but excellent results with AN and I wouldn't ever use anything else. The other options you've considered are fairly priced with a fair quality, but are no match for the results of AN. I'm using the full Iguana line now (for the first time, usually just the base and a few adds) + some other stuff, and I'm blown away so far. You can check out my room here. I would strongly recommend the Iguana Juice, F-1, H-2, Tarantula, Piranha, Sensizym, Nirvana, Carboload, Bud Candy, Organic B, and Rhino Skin. Their website has an encyclopedia of what their products contain and how they function so I'd highly recommend checking that out. I think you would still be satisfied with either the PBP or Roots, but if your trying to maximize your quality and yield, rock the Advanced.

Peace

Hey thanks Kyndbud. I've checked out the AN website quite a bit in the last few days, and that company really seems solid. Would you recommend using the whole organic line they have and using the feeding schedules they provide? I have also sent Mr.Wags a pm so we can get more options put on the poll.

I would highly recommend using the complete list on the website. I would use the nirvana along with organic line too, even though it isn't listed on the schedule. Otherwise, just follow the schedule to a T. They've also added bud candy as a replacement for carboload during bloom, which will give you that sweet taste and aroma your looking for and its organic. I've used bits a pieces of their organic line, mostly the Iguana Juice and Nirvana and had great results with quality flowers, but since using the whole line, I've noticed that my plants are flowering and stacking up quicker. I'm never using anything else from now on, no matter how much it costs. The way I see it, my excess yield pays off my fertilizer costs and then some.

Peace
