Well hello all and its day 4 of the drying process. So today i trimmed her down to a more manageable size .....Perfect for :smokeit: when its dried and cured.....it looking like ill get about a half zipper dried for this run but with mistakes made and more learning has been done projected outlook will be better with the scrog.....But here you are

Heres the top cola

And it close up but not a very good picture

I guess ill be updating again in 2 two days when the buds come out of the "windbox" so until then.....:Bolt:

hi bengie the Bb looks nice - hope you kept a clone of her!

mine did the same dready/foxtail thing when i ran her and the top cola got too close to the light - you need to keep them the right distance away with blueberry especially. High N and late training/lst whilst it is in bud may also contribute.

if its anything like my Bb then it'll be some lovely smoke though.

Quick Update.....Its been 7 days since it took the cutting and the one i did the root grafting on seems to be doing alot better......Its still green and doesnt seem to be losing any of its alive feeling but the other one has started to yellow a bit but still i really hope they both take cause i need to have 2 in this run maybe im gonna have to build a mini bubbler for cloing and hope i can get more success....oh well ill be doing another update in a week just to keep myself on track

Hmm so these 2 cuttings took a turn for the worse:wallbash:......they both wilted to the point that they looked like they were dead.... ...:chin:......This cloning i just cant seem to get the hang of but As i have said before i think i need one so.....

I have started to build a Bubble-cloner.....I bought
1 small air pump - $13
1 long airstone about $3
2 meters of air tubing $2
Shoebox sized storage container
Aquarium/non-toxic silicon
some neoprene for the plugs around the cuttings....

Heres a shot of the finished product

I think i could have 4 sites and 3 rows so a total of 12 cuttings once i get some more neoprene.....

Ok First I took the stone and siliconed it to the bottom of the container...More or less in the middle....
Then i drilled a hole in the side and ran the tubing through the hole and connected the line to the air stone
Lastly thread the tube to the pump which is located under the cabinet....

I am now ready to try this new method.....What kinda of water should be used Tap or Ro??.....With nutes or without???.....Does the bottom of the stem sit in the water or does it hang out above??.....Any Imput on this cloning method would be awesome......

Try them w/o the lid but keep an eye on em for a few hours. I don't wait until they fall over but if they droop, I put the lid back on. Avoid over misting, it might delay rooting. If they stay up on their own, leave the lid off. The peat pellets will dry out quicker so you'll have to stay on top of that.

You'll get the hang of it sooner than later. The basic thing is maintaining moisture over a ~two week period w/o getting the pellets too wet at any one time. Misting is ok when you start, try not to rely on it. Once cuts have dried from their initial misting, I usually just mist the under side of the dome and leave it at that. Toward the end of the first week, even the dome is dry. Most cuts are out from under the dome after the first week.

Here's a shot of 8 cuts I recently took. They look like shit but all eight rooted.

Disco- Yeah man i tried the without a lid and my new cutting wilted and was super floppy within hours so i placed a lid on top and this morning shes pretty much completely recoverd gonna keep her under a dome......She does seem to like the "douggler" though.........I just used plain old tap water and letter go......:smokey:

Well Today is day seven with my 2 clones chilling in the "douggler"

And well they seem to be liking it im not too sure if its the nice and soothing 78 degree ambient temp or the highly oxgenated tap water i've been using

These here are the shots of the Stems starting to show thier roots:)

Ill be updating again when there is a noticeable change to them.....Im getting impatient though i was hoping for much more developed roots but hopefully next week ill transplant them.......Should i put them in Rockwool or jiffys??.....I've heard that Jiffys arnt the greatest for cloning but are great for seeds.......So until next :Bolt:

So a little update..:chin:...The "dougglers" Ambient temperature in the rez was 22 c which was a little too cold :freezing:from what ive read so i went out and purchased an underwater heater(50watter) from Wally world eleven bucks......It has an automatic thermostat set to 78-+2 degrees so i figured it would be perfect for this application......:good:.....

Big D- thanks man for the kind words this hobby is always changing which keeps me on my toes and really keeps me interested and well the payoff is nice too.....:biglaugh:

etncrew- Hahaha "all hell for a basement" hmmm I see your reading into it a different way than Myself :comfort: but very nice girly yous gots there.....I've been recently thinking about building 2 3wx3hx3.5t and putting a 600 in each the only thing stopping me is the $$$$ at the moment......well and producing something i can be proud of.......the last 2 runs have been bitter sweet at best........stay tuned this next run im thinking its gonna be my best work yet!!!

i was pretty stoned when i typed that and i'm not known to proof read posts before pressing enter.....anyway, didn't mean to imply that i wasn't a fan of our great province i just think that it could use a bit of a ideology shift if you know what i mean. could be warmer in winter too, i guess :p

yeah my cab is like 38"x38"x6.5' tall...allows my ladies to get big and bushy!

money is always an issue, but i just think how can i afford not to lol!

heres a link to my diary if you want to check it out. not much happening yet but things are bound to get exciting sooner or later

Lookin good man!

Nice job on the bubbler

I have been running half strength or so veg solution in mine and id swear it makes roots faster than plain water does.

So today was another sad day.......due to my water(tap) the 2 clones shriveled and stopped growing any roots and i lost them again.......so this time i cut 2 more clones off my momsy and used reverse osmosis water and 1ml of my grow and micro to make 75-80 ppm @.5.....so today day 1 with a heater to keep the water at 80F and this time keeping my fingers crossed for roots i've been told 7 days imma goona try not too fuck with them too much this time around set it and forget it for one week.......:bolt:

bengie, the trick to cloning as i've learned the hard way, is you have to keep the clones in a super warm (low 90 deg F works well for me), humid (90-100% RH) and aerated environment; doesn't matter what method you pick. As long as the clones are kept warm and moist, at least a few of the bunch WILL root. Also, to improve success of rooting, take cuttings 2-3 nodes long, with 1 node inside the medium or cloner... Rooting hormone does help a bit. :chin:

Keep the humidome moist by spraying the inner dome and foliage with a light ph-balanced nutrient solution every few days or so... Try not to use organic nutes as disease and algae can easily overwhelm the clones. :flu: Also, don't forget to sterilize the entire humidome before cloning.

Remember: in the end, patience is the best "ingredient" for a successful cloning session. FYI, it takes me up to 3 weeks to get some roots, so don't feel discouraged if you're not getting results quick enough. :clock watch:

I feel you are misting, fooling with them too much. Look up the Walmart cloner thread. Not so much as to change from your bubbler but to see how he handles his cuttings.
