I have 1 question for ya..
Do I start counting the bloom weeks( ie.8-9 weeks to harvest) as soon as I see pistils or as soon as I start 12/12?
I've not done the 12/12 thing before so help would be much appreciated..

not really sure but i start counting when i start the 12-12.

DEFINITLY start counting whenn you switch too 12/12, because thats when she actually starts budding. That means that she is switching from growing her stems and leaves, to growing her pistils and bud ect, ect.
anyways, she is looking beautifull, and the coloring is just her putting on some makeup or an early sign of deficiency, here, save this like its suuuper helpfull

Yup what they said. Outdoor guys will count from when the pistils show though, because they can't flip a switch. As long as there are no other symptoms, the purpling should be fine. If you notice a grey mottled patchy look on the leaves, it could be a P def. She looks pretty healthy though.

when the lights came on just awhile ago, the tops were filling right up with pistils!! Overnight! I have to show pics tomorrow cause my batteries are charging for my camera...man she is going to get big...she's inches off the floor on some books and right up to the lights even after I tied the main stem...I'll have to bend it some more..
I realize I can't keep the LST up but how long can(or should) I go for?? I guess this is another question!

Yo BC well this is my 2 cents .. Each plant is different and all things you do can and will effect them .i.e. transplants or any type of problems that hold them back that you might encounter. The 8 or 9 weeks is only a approximation. The only way to know when your bud is ready is to look at the trichomes and how cloudy they are with your magnifing glass. Amber trichs just starting to show you should pick . there are charts that explain it under magnification that you should take a look at .. good luck peace out Headband707

I've tied down the main stem some more because she grew anotherinch and a half..sheeeesh..the planter is sitting on t 2 books still so I have maybe 2-3 inches left...
those side shoots are picking up too..gotta love those pipe cleaners! For LST, they are the best..IMO anyways...

Thanks cheese!!!!!!!That my friend is a snapdragon..you know those small flowers you can make "move their mouths and talk'? I always loved doing that when I was young! 100 years ago now..I'm growing it for my daughter for graduating this year...she loved them when she was young too!!

I have some Onyx seeds I might try next time..

a little update on my situation for you, i was about to start growin, and i had my cab all setup and i went out for a smoke, and i come back 10 minutes later to find my folks had been in my room, and looked on my laptop, and the screensaver hadent gone on, so they saw these forums, and immideatly suspected me, and ill have to wait till they become ignorant again, and forget about it.
and im not underage, im just a loser living with his parents still.
