Ok I seen an ad in high times about this advance nutrient stuff. Im wondering if its as good as it sounds. Im thinking about trying DWC tubs in the future and am looking to switch my nutrient.
Thanks for any info on the product. Peace

For the amount they charge, AN stuff would have to 3-4x your yield to be worth it. While I have never used AN, I find it hard to believe that is possible.

DWC works well with Highgrades formula (from OG) which is GH 3part series at 1/3 strength with 1/4 tsp Epsom salts and some silica supplement. Others run lucas formula at varying concentrations (8ml Micro/ 16ml Bloom per gallon). I prefer Highgrades but many prefer Lucas. I pay about 90 bucks total for a gallon of each Grow, Micro and Bloom and that makes about 1100 gallons of solution. I find it very cost effective, not to mention excellent growth and final product.

.... I get 6 gallons advanced neuts for 99$ i buy 2.. vs general hydro 99$ and i have to buy 3 unless you are going to go by lucas formula. WITCH IS SENSI A+B ... Also Advanced in 1 liter is 15$ a pair... and Once more.... YOU USE ABOUT 1/2 THE AMOUNT OF ADVANCED AS YOU DO GENERAL HYDRO

The reason people think advanced is expensive is becuase of there additives.... witch you dont need... its there way to make there money back on such cheap base neuts..

If your running 100+ gallons advanced is very cheap.

Lazyman uses them and says his yields greatly improved once he switched. He has a good way of testing and a solid control. I'd ask him.

I've never had a fully successful grow myself, due to my inability to be consistent with feeding schedules (During the time when I was preparing to switch my ladies into flowering, I neglected to replenish water res for a couple of days causing complete root rot)

But the results I got while I stayed on track were PHENOMENAL. There's a chance I had gotten lucky with genetics in my seeds, as I had a Hawaiian Snow amongst a couple others, seeds I purchased directly from The Attitude Seed bank, feminized and all of course. My hawaiian snow had reached over six feet tall growing out of a Bio Bucket at about 5 or 6 weeks! (this is six feet from the the base of the plant, not the bucket, mind you)

Growth speed, color and scent were all amazing and they hadn't even yet reached flowering. Overall, I can say I had amazing results with them, the only issues I have with AN is the pricing (especially when you're buying only quarts at a time) and how imperative feeding schedules are.

Otherwise, I liked the results, the calculator for feeding programs and the programs themselves are extremely helpful and as long as you've got the funds and a schedule that doesn't interfere, I say go for it.

Check out my thread, Advanced nutrients is an amazing brand. And check out advance nutrients is a horrible brand. Read them both, then decide.

I saw a noticeable increase in my yields when I switched to Advanced Nutrients.

And it doesn't take anything near triple your yield to make the price difference worth it. I can't speak for everyone, but even 10% improvement in yield is a huge amount of increased value in my harvests.

I started with Advanced Nutrients and I would never change. To each there own. I dont like the names they give there nutes but I do love what they do to my plants. I run the 3 part MGB with carbo loader and kushie kush (first time trying this) most of the time I use big bud with good results. I also use overdrive and Final Phase. When I first started growing I had to use there revive witch is a great product to keep in your kit.

General plant nutrients are a billion dollar industry. If you go to the AN web site they would have you believe that their team of four researchers has come up with more developments in the last few years than the whole agriculture industry. This seems unlikely to say the least.

The way I look at it AN spend a lot more money than any of their competitors on product placement, marketing and general advertising. Someone has to pay for that, and it's going to be the customer.

They often use shills on growing forums to defend them.

There are always ways of increasing yield by improving the environment in the grow room or providing more light, I'd rather spend my money on that than some snake oil medicine.

they are the most cannabis specific nute company. try their recipe with competitor products and achieve superior results to the competitors recipe. start with the 3 part and big bud, dial it, then start adding other stuff if you need to, d

Actually when you just compare apples to apples using just AN's Micro, Grow, and Bloom then AN is a little cheaper than GH. I have no idea if all their additives work, or are worth the money.

There was a thread on PG that showed they were almost identical.
