why are the Leave Stems So Long?

ok usually all my leaves have a nice 2-3 inches of stem, well I planted a bagseed and the leaf stems are 6-7 inches long! I mean the part where it comes off the main branch until it get to where the leaf actually starts is that long, not including the leaf. Does anyone know why they are doing that? Its a very healthy looking plant and way more vigorous grower than the powerkush, mobydick and white widow sitting around it.

i had one of my plants in my veg area get like that but i determined it was because it was only about 1 ft tall next to a few 3ft trees that were hoggin sll the light and the other plants started to stretch the stems on the leaves to reach for the light when i pulled the other plants it stop stretchin out and is gowin up again

hey thanks for the replys guys, just wanted to make sure I didnt have something new It is the same size as the other 3 height wise just a lot bushier and there all under a 400W MH, there about 2ft tall. Just fgured the known good genetics would out perform a bagseed from some good mids...
