When you smoke, how long does it get you high for?

Well it really depends. Here is a breakdown of some of the "named" strains that I have smoked to date.
1. White Rhino (GH) - high lasted for 30-45 mins. Very strong the first couple of times I smoked it, but tolerance grew fast.
2. Satori - one of my favorites. Usually lasts for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Lemon skunk - lasts 45 mins maybe an hour.
4. Deep Chunk - I love this stuff. Gets me good and stoned for an hour or so, and then the comedown lasts for another hour or so. So maybe a good 2 1/2 hours.
5. NorCal Daddy's Girl - Now this is also one of my favorites so far. High lasts for 2 good hours, comedown is a little heavy. Makes me feel sleepy sometimes lol but very intense
6. Original Haze x Skunk #1 - Again one of my favorites, lasted for at least 3 good hours of intense head high!!
7. Mandala #1 - Let's see, not cured, high lasted for a good 1 1/2 hours. When cured and taken a little longer (8 weeks versus 7 [uncured]) high lasted for a good 2 hours, with super munchies involved.
So as you can see, it varies with the strain. Sometimes I smoke using a bat, sometimes with a pipe, sometimes through a bong. But mostly with a pipe because it's what I usually have on hand.
Oh I have to say that I haven't been smoking for very long. So my tolerance level is very low.

All depends on what I'm smoking, but usually my buzz will last me 1 to 2 hours. THC affects people differently and their bodies metabolize it differently as well.

honestly,i think your tolerance is the biggest factor. even if you green isn't the strongest, you can take 2-3x as many hits to make up for it.
i smoked some trainwreck once and it seriously lasted 45 minutes. i hope it was grown wrong because everyone talks about it like its the shizzz. luckily we smoked some ECSD later that night which was pretty badass.
also, I once smoked 2 bowls (between 3 ppl) of some socal master kush and was fuckin baked for over 4 hours. even after going to an all you can eat pizza joint and pigging the fuck out.

Totally depends on how much I've smoked that day, how much I've smoked that week, the quality of the weed I'm smoking and the strain. The average weed I can get off the black market here lasts maybe a half hour to forty five minutes, and it's just a muddled kind of generic high. The strains we grow on the other hand usually don't even peak for at least 45 minutes, with the average high lasting from an hour and a half to three hours. Now if I didn't have a tolerance built up the street stuff might last two hours, while the stuff we grow would probably send me to another planet for the rest of the day. We gave a few hits of some higher quality street stuff to my exes mom who hadn't smoked in about a decade and she said she got high for about 24 hours...

Since I have stopped buying weed this year, and our grow isn't anywhere near ready, my toking has gone waaaay down, as has my tolerance.
Now I smoke, and stay blasted for hours - instead of hitting again in an hour...
Weed goes along way - and my munchies are outta this world (usually I don't get munchies right away, more like hours later - now I go home and eat everything in the fridge)...

i honestly think it most has to do with tolerance.
let me guess, you smoke a crap load, where as your girl only smokes a little bit?
cause with me and my girlfriend, i can smoke through 2 grams no problem... but after 2 bowls, shes toast!!
but ill keep on smoking.. 2 hours later ill want to pack more, i try to pass her the bong and she'll say no thanks, and when i look at her face she is obviously still super high..

You guys clearly aren't getting high enough if you can still measure time.
Last hit I took was 2 hours ago and I'm still flying... wait. no it's only been 10 minutes.

I make sure the next bowl comes soon enough that I never have to find out how short a high can be.

30 to 60 minutes. and tolerance builds up. so best to take some breaks every few days
I fall under the influence, easy...I consider that a gift...

2+ hours for the most part on what I smoke. Usually a j will keep me up for a couple hours....easy
3 bong loads in the am. 3 before lunch. 3 before dinner. 3 after dessert. 3 while wathcing tv before sleep, then vape 2 bowls in bed.
so yeah.. i guess some of you should smoke more. cause i cant tell when its wearing off. : )

Dependant on Genetics, Sativa or Indica Dominant, The time flowerd, The growers technic and conditions and whether or not I am in a good or bad mood...
My buzz could last 20 mins to an hour and a half I would say, Still plenty more strains to try tho and something like BHO will give me a very intense onset and usually phase off in an hour or 2
I will certainly agree that building up a tolarance is not a good thing but going with no weed is probably worse.... lol
