Those LEDs you linked to are pretty cheap.. buyer beware - you get what you pay for.
the "200 watt" cfl is actually a 42watt and those can get hotter than you think in a small space.

If you have the money go for LED although you seem to have a wide growing area, you might not get good coverage.

Rather than CFL look into PLL fluorescent, for the same wattage you can get 4000-4500 lumens per bulb instead of the 2800 your link mentions.

Yea, that cfl is 42 watts (actual) and the shipping is 34 bucks. Get one at hardware store instead. 22 inches of height is not enough really. I mean, you can grow but really cramped.

I got a LED from LED girl but of course $$$. eloofa or some some such sells a ufo on ebay in america. A little better I think. Actually, LED girls lights are supposed to be 12" above plants, so the UFO would seem better, as it can go closer. The UFO does not have lens on it and has bigger lighting area.

try to fit as much CFL's you can through the width of the cab, you have to check how big the ballast is of the CFL, I got 125W (ACTUAL) and the diameter is 8CM (about 3.1") so you should be able to at least put 6 of these and maybe the exhaust in the middle, I'd recommend mixing with 2700K too throughout the grow. good luck.

I'm running a 45W led panel, and for the most part I am not impressed with the results.

Honestly, I think its a step down from CFL or Flo's.

I did a side by side with flo vs. LED and the CFL was just better.

Something interesting here: I have my LED panel on some herbs in the window, and the plants will still turn towards the winter sun.

as the wattage goes up you get better results i bought 4 318 w leds they are equal 1100w each (led light wattage)and 4 600 w led lights(2680 watts led wattage)the panels suck save up the money to pick up a ufo or better the produce no heat you can let the plants grow up into them they are worth the savings
