I will be going on Sunday to get my Dr. recommendation, Wish me luck on that, And further more I have built a new grow room Im out of the closet on that one, Also I have just placed an order for a hydo drip system along with a 400w hps system with various other small things like nutrients ph meter, ph up and down. Stay tuned this is going to be awesome I hope, also I was thinking of ordering a pack of dieselrella from Dutch grown..All good news and I have a small harvest coming soon..

Hey mang, just checked out the grow in your sig.

Next time you get 15 bucks go to walmart or whatever place you buy bulbs where you live and buy some compact fluorescents. Use Cool white color temp for vegging/cloning/germing. Throw away your incandescent bulbs. They are absolute rubbish.

You should see a huge improvement with the HPS bulb in flower over the incandescent.

Yeah, my bad bro It's just http://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=14498&pictureid=302975 that one looks a lot like an incandescent bulb. The sickly plant under it also made me think it was incandescent. I guess you are using a warm (2700K) cfl. I would switch that to a couple cool (5000K) cfls. They are better for veg growth.

Maybe when you hook up the HPS for flower you can add CFLs for vegging? By the looks of your plants they all need more light.

Also, Are you sure those are 100w cfls? They look like 20w-30w cfls (100w incandescent equivalent)

bendoslendo-it could be just me but i think if he uses a mix of warm and cool it would be better then running just cool/warm cfl's.cause i use a mix right now and my plants are doing pretty damn good,but this weekend i am picking up a 600 watt hps.if you like go check out my thread (the freak show).peace and good vibes

the one in veg was one of the not so best, I trimmed it all up and left some green on it for some new growth, I dont think my lighting was any problem I am sure it was air flow you see I had them all in my closet in the house, I just got this room built in my garage and I have an intake air fan and an exhaust they have seemed to really respond well to this change.. Anyways these are almost done and I will begining a new run in the hysro setup that I am getiing, Also I wasnt using anything special as far as nutrients go but that will all change as soon as these damn people ship my order I placed last friday..

xinsanewickedx I tried looking at your thread but it seems you deleted all the pics. You are going to love your 600w HPS man. Just be ready for all the heat that comes with it! I run a 600w HPS and its a real bitch to cool in a summer attic! On the plus side it helps heat my bathroom in the winter

Yes a Cool/Warm CFL mix is a great idea if you are using them for the entire grow. I prefer cool light during veg for shorter inter-nodal growth. I actually run 2 Warms in my 6 bulb CFL array I use for cloning/germination. After they root they go under an all cool spectrum 4 bulb T5. The T5's are great for short internodal growth.

Most of the successful CFL grows I've seen use several bulbs in a small area with highly reflective walls and reflectors. I believe that to be the key to CFL growing. CFL have terrible penetration and are much more reliant on reflectivity than say an HPS set-up.

K-pax, good move with the ventilation! It's key, especially when they start getting big and need that fresh CO2. Look into other CFL grows on ICmag though and compare the amount of light they use to what you are using.
