Air Cooled hood question...

So this will be my first air cooled hood going in the next day or 2.

Question about where to attach the ducting to get the most efficient cooling.

Should I attach the duct to the mogul side or the side next to the end of the bulb?

Or it doesn't really matter get it in there and fire up that thow wow

I did mine on the side of the bulb, you need to make a notch for the cord, and tape it up.

idk but that's what I did.

I wont need to cut any notches because the designers were smart and put the cord on the outside.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Most air cooled hoods are designed to have the air flow from mogul side to bulb side.
Which hood do you have?

I used to run the Eurosystems compact reflectors with their dual 600 ballasts.
Air should go in at the mogul side and out at bulb end.

nice reflector . . . i have 3 reflectors, some are clearly setup to run a certain way, and i've still run 'em the other way without issue . . . my cab is setup to run air from mogul past bulb and out the other side . ..

anyways, you got the answer from some people, just thought i'd share my "don't really seem to matter" experience.

Thanks for the compliments all. Best part is, my neighbor is letting me use this hood and matching ballast. Quite a step up from my current 400w
