No computer when we were kids. Hell, I was 14 before the Atari 2600 came out.
So we would take our old toys and my dads black powder and blow shit up.
I blew up my 6 Million Dollar Man figure and immediately missed it. I had all the figures-even Felix, his boss. (Ol' Felix and the bionic bigfoot got blown up in the ice cave set...)
What are your pre-electronic favs?

Neat thought.........

Neat thought.........

Slot cars, (H2O scale???) the real small ones. Hot Wheels too. and still have most of 'em. All 1 owner cars, some worth a bit, and still have a Hot Wheels car case. Most less than mint condition. I recall blowing a few of them up. I get this feeling this may be a predominantly "southern' thing for some reason tho, the blowing shit up part. LOL

Great thread Sabudda... I played with matchbox cars nonstop. I graduated to building model cars and finally real wheels :D

Mr Potato Head (and Mrs) with a real potato! GI Joe, my Batman suit, my battery powered tank, lighter fluid, matches, my friends BB gun, keeping snakes (animals aren´t toys...) and lizards that escaped in the house, Encyclopedia Brittanica...those were the days of Gilligan´s Island and Playboy pinups in my friends garage.

Gilbert chemistry set. The big one you could actually do awfully dangerous things with.

Show a kid a book, you'll find the sofa no longer leans. Show a kid how to blow something up, you'll get a lifelong fan of chemistry.

Matchbox , hotwheel cars , then on to being a pyromaniac blowin n burnin shit up .
Neighbors used to trip out when they'd see my model cars flyin dwn the street w/ estees D size model rocket engines straped to em . I still have my glow in the dark Whamo frisbee tho .

I had a giant, amazingly unsafe treehouse me n pals built in my backyard.
S'a wonder nobody died from the shit we pulled off in that rickety bitch.
Touched my first boobies in there too!
