last 10 where a period of extreme ups and downs. The last 18 months has seen great strides of improvement and clearity. Been high on the hog and down in the gutter, so I kinda have developed some good intuition of my decisions. Also my gut feeling has always been right, some times in the past if i had listened to myself things would have been much smoother.
Clear skies ahead.

Awful for me. A decade ago, I was at the pinnacle of a 20 year career in corporate life, had a big house....now no regular job, living with relatives, no money. C'est la vie.

World's a crazy place nowadays. Who knows what lies ahead?

Been up and been down but the outlook right now is good. Knocking on wood. Wish all of you a steady ride on the upswing. Peace and smoke

Wow! Let's see, 6 years or so ago the old lady was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer; huge operation followed by 2 years of chemo. Had to quit my job, cause she had to get hospitalized every other week for 3 days for this particular chemo. Boss didn't care for that shit. We scraped by and somehow managed. When we finally pulled her out of the weeds and she was pronounced cancer free, we celebrated. Short-lived however, I then took sick, blood clots, 2 years of V.A. hospitals, stents in, stents out, sents back in; not a fun process by the way. Culminating in a post-femoral amputation of the left leg (above the knee), hence the name Ihop, cuz I do. Were still wondering about the right leg though.
And if that ain't enough to make me cry the state of Washington has decided that 27 months after the amputation I need to take a road test for my drivers license tomorrow morning at 8:40 AM. If I don't show up reeking of beer, and stoned completely out of my mind, they will be very lucky. So in short, (or not) the last 5-10 years have sucked!
But you know what? I'm not going to let it beat me down, I'm still growing and vaping, went hunting again for the first time this year, all in all not bad for someone almost 60.
Life sucks....but the alternative might just be worse. So cheer the fuck up.

Holy crap. I thought I had a rough patch a few years ago. Then I was humbled by Ihops post. I guess some of us , or at least myself do not take the time to think about the folks that have it worse than us. Ihop...I am glad to meet you my friend. You just showed me that my life has really not been that bad at all. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.Lets all take a moment and send Ihop some love. I was gonna sprout off about some bad things that happened to me 3 years ago. But now.......I feel as if those things are in the past, and just not important anymore. Ihop lives with it every day, as i'm sure others do as well. Thanks Ihop for sharing your life with us. :comfort:

Whoa, let's talk about this!

Wow, Moonchild how the hell did I miss that one.
See, most of us have no problems at all.
We really should chat about that one though.

Thanks Useful, believe it or not I'm still getting around with a prosthetic, even I know it can always get worse. Choose to make the best of every day, life is too short.
