need some in house reviews on c99Bx1?

I bought a pack of Cinderella 99 BX1 from Mosca Negra Seeds. and wanted to know are these seeds are just as good as the new GN collection $150.00 c99 seeds. i bought some gn collection c99 female seeds in 03 . that was great but it was the first time i had grown or smoked c99. it was some of the best smoke i have had at that time .
most phenos was more of a skunk/pineapple smell to it . but all had a up sativa head high but this one pheno it was the pineapple pheno you hear about .it was all pineapple and had very large fox tail bud. when cured it cured to a cat piss smell and it would burn your eyes when you got to close to the jar. the bud was completely dry and cured for 3 months. when smoking all you needed was 3 hits. very smooth smoke and the high was one of the best head highs i have ever had
it smoked more on the lines of Apollo 11G pheno i heard talk about .

I was just wondering does the bx in this c99 make it more likely for the pineapple pheno like the one i described? and i was thinking of
crossing my pack of Mosca Negra c99 to my pack from wallyduck
pineapple c99 x grapefruit . or should i grow out all and take the best male and female from both crosses and put them all to gether and let the pollen fly and call it c99 surprise?

HI, its me again i was thinking of a pack of freebies i got with my order of c99Bx1 seeds.
it was a 10 seed pack of SAM the skunkmans Original haze x sk#1 . i was so glad i finally got the pack of Ohaze x sk#1 to go with my Thai/haze x skunk#1 of the skunkmans seeds.

I was thinking of making a cross of the original haze x skunk#1 X C99BX1 and make me a nice Polly hybrid .it should have some interesting phenos to be found and bring down the flowering time on the Ohazexsk#1 cross. and bring in some very interesting smells and tasty bud. thanks and what do you think?

the OHSK1 grows and grows and grows, and takes a lifetime to finish. Mine is at like the 12 week point of 12/12 and looks like its only about half way thru its flowering cycle. I hope its worth the wait.

I havent grown c99 but sounds very similair to the pineapple express that I currently have running. The main difference sounds like is that the PE is finishing very fast one pheno takes 8 and the other takes 6-7 after 12/12.

From what I understand is that Moscas c99 bx1 was based off the lower yielding Pineapple pheno and it was highly likely to find what your describing. AT least that's the way I read it on THCF.

As far as the cross go ahead and try it and when you do let me know!

I just finished a crop of Mosca's C99 BX-1. I started with 12 plants and got 6 females. I vegged for 28 days and cut them all down after 56 days flowering. All but 1 (the indica pheno) grew taller then I expected. They were easy to keep healthy and I avg around 2 oz per plant- all under one 600 watt HP.

Overall I wasn't too impressed. Three of them smelled just like grapefruit and another just a citrus sweet perfume. The others had little smell if any. I am looking for the tropical fruit pheno but didn't find one. Didn't find the pineapple pheno either. 7 out of 10 on potency, 8-10 on taste and smell.

Easy to grow, nice yield and very little manicuring when finished.
Just not potent enough compared to other things. I think I'll grow them longer (63-65 days) next time........

I had the exact same experience as you on my C99 grow although it was from another breeder, i guess the rumored uniformity present in the original C99 just isn't there in todays offerings. While i also found most phenos more potent than average the overall high was not really that good, i also cut mine on day 56 and i think another week or so could help with the high but I don't really see an amazing sativa high from any of the phenos i found.

On an unrelated note, my 14 week select O.hazeXsk#1 cut is superior in every respect although she is very stretchy, her production is rather low and she goes almost twice as long as some other plants. No matter how small an amount you put in the bowl it's somehow always more than enough to lift you into another consciousness entirely for hours and hours and no shorter flowering sativas I've grown or smoked have even been close. After sampling her just once the 14 week flower time and low yield becomes completely irrelevant. The skunk father shows his influence in her tolerance to a broad range of nutrient levels, container size and other general abuse, unlike some sativas keeping her alive for 14 weeks is not a very hard task and if the stretch in the first seven weeks proves too much for you you can supercrop throughout flower cycle with no side effects other than a bushier plant (she's a bit harder to manicure than if you let her stretch but yield will be mostly the same).

Took lots of heat before for being a C99 purist....But fact is, the C99 around today is not the same as it once was or that Mr Soul first put out. This is true with most strains that are 10+ years old. Legend sells. Catch22 when we try to pick something up based on the test of time...

Now I know that Mosca's got some killer modern C99-- and it yields better to boot, but one need look no further than the description of yield variance between phenos to know that it varies from the original C99. Although by no means is older always better.

Try the GN collection and post what you think. I'm curious about this one as I think it has the potential to be pretty close to the older version

the more i read about c99 the more disappointed i get in having two of moscas fly packs on deck for my next grow... im looking forward to the sonic fly more than the c99 and when i first bought the seeds it was the other way around... i actually bought two fly packs because they were out of c99bx1 at the time

I have the original C99 F1 from Bros. Grimm, 20 beans purchased in 2000 from Heaven's Stairway. I selected one phenotype (pineapple, rotten tropical fruit in late flower. No skunkiness at all) for its stealth smell and good yield. It is devastatingly potent and has been my go-to smoke since the first time I grew it from clones. Clones reliably in 7-9 days. As many have said about their favorites, it will be with me forever............

I am just kidding But my point is that this claim, as I've found out in this forum, is often met with a healthy amount of skepticism.

I'm certain there are folks out there that are still holding the original version of C99. You are very fortunate to be one of them (if you're for real...Again, I'm just kidding )

The original version is my medicine of choice as well...Unfortunately, the only person that can possibly corroborate my story (ie: the claim of having original C99) in these forums is Capt. Krip, but he seems to have gone missing for quite some time LOLLLL... (I know he's OK

A buddy of mine grew out c99 and a c99 hybrid from mosca and i wasn't impressed at all. Not one pheno was the same and the only one that LOOKED good didn't really have a smell. The smoke itself was nothing special just looked pretty.

Same friend is about to finish c99 from GN collection that he bought a couple years back for i think $150 and i must say im very impressed for the fact they almost all the look the same and have the pineapple smell with a couple that have a hint of skunkyness to them. Now i havent smoked it so i cant give a report just yet.

Iv never smoked the real deal c99 so i dont know what to expect. He also just popped a pack from Wally Ducks c99 so more info will come shortly. Im in no way dissing Mosca, im just speaking from my experience.
