Bio Canna - Finish Early?

Does anyone have experience with finishing a week or two early using bio canna?

Supposedly the bio boost means you can finish up to two weeks early....

I recently switched over to BioCanna, and it's looking like mine are all going about a week longer than usual, although I'm only in mid-flower of strains I've run before, which will be the only fair comparison. Not definite yet, but it looks like yield may also be down, which is definitely not good...;(

you know I always run a little faster ( half week to a week usually ) then my brother who doesn't use (bio-canna) , but I also add so many more things then him, so I'm not sure what's at play, but I stick with Bio-canna till I see something more worth my $ or time

also my yields are always much bigger them his, but I do know alot more then him, and there can be so many factors at play when discussing yield...

I heard that using biocanna the yeild will almost definitely be down, but the quailty will be unsurpassed

What nute's were you using before Chronic? - I've had some decent results in terms of production with Bio-Canna. I want to say I got over .7 gpw roughly calculated. - thats not horrible with organics. It also finished only a day or two earlier than other organic comparisons in my experiences. My plants were shorter but wide. I also grew a fast flowering Indica at the time.

The product was excellent.

First time grow so i can't compare with anything really, im just going with what i hear from other growers, supposedly hydro & using mineral based nutes means bigger yeilds

I get a good feeling with biocanna so my next grow ill def use them again...

I really recommend bat guano alongside aswell, i used liquid guanokalong & its lovely stuff, just gives it that edge
My friend did a side by side using the liquid guano & the plant he used it on tasted undoubtedly sweeter

It's hard to be certain yet, as I've just harvested two strains I've not grown before, but the next ones down, Appalachia and a couple of Flos, definitely look to be lower yield compared to the the mineral Canna - I have been tweaking all kind of other parameters like side-lighting, etc. but they've all been under the same, regular regime from the off this time.

I'll give it more time yet before I decide, as the amount of time the plant has been rooting in the final pot is also an issue, and the most recent two, Cocoa Kush and Vanilluna, have been in their pots from over two weeks already, and are usually decent yielders, so we'll see how they produce before making my mind up.

What is amazing me is the health and vigour of vegging plants under the BioCanna regime - they're so large I'm having to chop branches off just to keep them down! But they seem to be hitting something of a brick wall when going into flower. I didn't get any BioBoost into the last two until week 6, but this current batch have been getting it since week 4, along with bat guano and molasses, but they don't seem to utilising much of any of it...:(

It does all taste superb though, I have to admit...;)

ive been using the biocanna line for 2-3 years now....i have used MANY diff nute lines, and quite honestly been happy w all. that being said, my harvests are DEF lower then almost anything else ive used....thats ok, it forced me to start LST'ng my girls and that will bring it just about back up to where it would be w other lines(w out lst)...as a couple peeps stated above, the quality of the finished herb is OUTSTANDING...the taste is unsurpassed IMO....also keep in mind you can go over, well over, the reco'd doses...depending on strain....ive gone up to 50% over the dose w one particular strain and not only did it not adversely affect the plant, it tasted better....also, if you start yellowing ahead of schedule, some strains i will continue to use the veg nutes well into the high 20's of flowering cycle, others i switch to the flower nutes around 11-15 days into the cycle, but hit them again w veg nutes around the third to fourth week for 2 to 3 waterings....
...bottom line, if you use the bio, play around a lil bit with the mix and you will find what is right for a strain....sub

oh yeah, IME they go a lil longer w the biocanna....but it could be strain dependant.....also, a very nice benefit of this bio line is you can smoke the herb as soon as its dry enough and it will taste like its been curing for a couple months. some strains do need a cure anyway(chem d, cindy99 a couple examples) but some almost seem to be peaking within a week of harvest for flavor!(j1, madness for example)

I can vouch for the early flavour - this OGK X Afghan I chopped last weekend tastes amazing, and it's hardly been 'cured' in that short time!

I'll have a play around with some of the nute levels, as they're clearly not suffering from full-strength so far - one of my OTMs recently seemd to show a N deficiency at about week 4, so I did add some more veg nutes to the mix and it seemed to pick up.

Thanks for the tips - much appreciated.

Mineral based nutrients and hydro systems almost always produce more than organic soil and/or soiless mixes. Specifically chemical based mineral nutrients. In most cases imo - quality is sacrificed in regards to flavor and smoke however.

Your production will only improve the more you use it. Organics require a few grows to dial in and Bio-Canna is high quality - it's a solid choice imo.

Your comments about Guano are one reason I love Earth Juice so much - they're Guano is top notch. I absolutely agree it improves flavor drastically in organic grows. I'll have to check the guanokalong out.

Thanks

Mmmm that sounds good!
I dont think i could resist testing it out after its been dried & cured for a week, should be nice to sample bits as the weeks pass & see how the flavour & the high evolves
