Purple voodoo...any threads on this strain?

I just got hooked up with my first ' beans' and cannot find much info on them. I searched and found nothing but brief references. If it helps they are from a club in frisco...? I was hoping someone had a grow or two with these and might share some insight into thier physiology or any quirks the strain my exhibit. BTW, I'm sure you noticed but I currently suffer from an acute case of noobery.....'bear' with me.

I'm pretty sure you have Purple Voodoo from California Bean Bank.

I did search high and low for any information on it. I did find a grow thread of it on line by somebody else. The person ran Black Kush and something else and Purple Voodoo. He said that Purple Voodoo was the best. So pretty much you have some good genetics in stock.

My best guess would be that it is Dutch Passion Voodoo crossed with a purple strain.

Hopefully I will have the chance to germ it for the outdoor season this spring. I have too many different beans to try.

That is very interesting. After reading up sounds like it should make some killer dank if I manage not to kill it.....lol. I think Im going to go guerilla with afew till I can get my spare room all setup, I'm dying to see how they look. I'm assuming these would rock in the right spot in nor cal in the spring, or am I way off base here? I'm going to go sesearch some more, thank you again for the lead....karma to you brotha.

Any of the "og's" here have a take on these bad boys? (well, hopefuly girls) I just sprouted two and am hoping to make a nice little bonsai mother outta one, I really would like to have a nice one to pot and keep as not only a mother but also a nice decorative piece. I know that may sound stupid to some, but I had a little kush that a friend gave to me in a bonsai tray with a little waterfall and bridge, I would not mind havving another. Any oopinions on the strain would be gratley appreciated, I like hearing multiple opinions on stuff. Thanks guys/gals.

I've grown these before. They are great plants, easy to care for if given proper nutrients they grow super dense and bushy with fat leaves. I grew them in Fox Farms ocean forest.

Not sure about the breed, I found the same info that Forestbuds did. I figure it's a purple phenotype of DP Voodoo, because it seems to look like a landrace strain that hasn't been worked with too much. Big fat leaves and short stature, I did get a pheno that had skinny leaves and long internodes this year but it died due to unknown reasons probably root rot. I'll look to see if I have pics of them.

Thanks man I got a few just like u described and have one with thinner leaves but gets pretty frosty. Ill take a pic when the lights come on tomorrow and post a few. Here is the one I harvested a cpl months ago but still keep a cut of it alive for future grows.

Very nice plant there, Is that the thin leaved one?
I had a couple thin leaved ones but I culled them, All mine were very bushy with tight nodes and fat leaves.

can you tell me how your harvest did?
im growin the same strain and its 34 days into the veg cycle.
when did you flower? how big was your space? and how much did you get?
and did your plant grow straight up and only put two leaves out on each set of leaves?

I cant really remember exactly but i kept them rather small and lst'd them out. The stretch isnt much at all on the more indica dom pheno and prob just a lil more on the skinny leaf ones. So i would at least let it get a 12" or taller before u flip depending on how big u want it....It gets extremely covered in resin all over the buds and lot of the smaller bud leaves....would make great hash imo. Put up some pics if u get the chance and ill see if i can help u out! good vibez

I shot some pictures of this strain at a trichome technologies facility awhile ago. It was still a few weeks from finishing at this point but looking nice.
