How to vacuum seal jars

If you have glass jars simply heat them up to where they are just over warm enough to the touch, add product then seal. As air is heated it expands and as it cools down it returns to its normal state. You will hear the jar gasp for air when time come to open.

A good way to remove moisture quickly from marijuana (which is not recommended but i will share anyway) is to place weed in glass jars and slowly heat the jars up using a stove (on and off on low) your not trying to scorch anything but like above just keep them just over comfortable to the touch. You will see moisture being leeched out of buds. Again, this process is a quick dry not a cure. Good when you are just wanting to sample you harvest for the first time, knowing a couple ounces or lbs are on the way. Be careful because glass will break if the difference in ambient temperature and temperature of glass is too extreme.

Seems simple ideas are the best!:)

Good one...I will possibly do this when the time comes...

However, the heat of the jar does concern me as I'll be trying to save as many of the terpenes as possible...I don't know how hot is too hot, but I might add a piece of corrugated card in the base of the jar and a folded tube of paper/card in the jar to hold the buds away from the hot glass.

First, simon came out with the 'perfect cure, everytime' and now 'easy vacume sealing jars'!;)

The Simple stuff is shining through in the new year!:)

EDIT: Just occurred to me!...steam or boil the lids, fish out of the water/wipe dry with CLEAN cloth, then whack on the hot jars...expansion having done it's stuff, contraction will then occur= tighter seal! ha!

thanks mediusea im glad someone likes this idea. jars really dont have to be that hot. heat them up before putting product inside this will help with exposure time. the cardboard is a great idea. also try putting in the fridge for a faster hot to cold time.

How about putting them in a vac-sav bag with the ring slightly loosened?
Anyone tried that?

Kcar, It's been used before by others with success...I've got a giant vac bag mysefl...but have yet to harvest ENOUGH to make it worthwhile to me...but when I get to the stage of having excess, I have an option!:)
It does, however, compact the buds a bit...one way to counter th@is to pile buds into a box the right length and width to fit easily into the bag..measure how deep they are...remove buds and cut box height to level just above the budlevel.
refill now traylike box with buds and slide box into vacbag...apply vacume cleaner...
The rigidity of the box will hold up to the vacume bag and retain some air so the buds don't compact as much...the amount varies according to how you cut the box....make sure there are air holes in the sides of the box too.
