THC Ministry???

Greetings my fellow tokers... I have been hearing quite a bit about using religion as a way to protect ourselves from persecution. Does anyone have any information on Roger Christie and his "THC Ministry"? I first read about it in the Cannabible, and again online from someone on a message board... After visiting the website, I noticed that they are asking for a 200 dollar donation for a kit of certificates and cards stating that we use cannabis as a religious sacrament. Now, if these cards and certificates hold any kind of backing to them, I would think that it would be all over the news and the like... but I have yet to see that. Has anyone "donated" to the "THC Ministry"? Better yet, has anyone had to use the documents provided by the ministry? Any info available would be greatly appreciated.

I have used the ID card on several occasions.
The $200 donation is for a sanctuary kit. It prepares you for a jury trial if your grow gets busted.
The system will try to tell you that you can[t use the religous defense.
But cases quietly get thrown out quite often. Of course you'll never read about those cases in the news.

I think joining the ministry is free, they sell a 123 kit that has just the basic ID cards ect. for $50.

Remember the ministry's only way to raise money is by selling the sanctuary kits, and 123 kits, other than straight donations. And those can be few and far between.

I thought the sanctuary kit was put together really nice. I bought mine when the site was new.
The kit has improved since.

People like to take shots at Roger, but the man does everything he can to help people that are in trouble defend themself, or know if their lawyer is not helping.

Roger also sued the city council on the Big Island and actually forced them to send back the federal money to fund the green harvest helicopter cops. The big island growers enjoyed a season free of chopper raids. He tryed this again this year, but the court underhandedly dismissed the case.

I know the whole thing sounds ridiculous, but so is the system that has each and every pot smoker in america by the balls... I think I might try it out, losin 200 bucks is a lot better than gettin incarcerated.

There was a whole "pot-tv" campaign and show about the marijuana religion stuff. It will not get you out of jail anymore then begging the judge to let you go.

It can't save you from jail if the person really wants to put you away, it would make no difference if you had it or not. People get no criminal record/fine/jail time all the time for marijuana plants and possesion its just not advertised everywhere.

Aloha. I just registered to be a member on this forum, so I'm the new guy here, at least for a minute.

As I look around and search for posts over the years there are a few that question me, or comment on the THC Ministry. I'll do my best to answer them.

One place to go for information on me or the THC Ministry is to do a 'google search'. Another is < www.wikipedia.com >. Like most people and organizations there are upsides and downsides. I invite you to ask questions of me or to make comments or suggestions if you feel like it.

The first questions I noticed here were from about six years ago when the THC Ministry was just a few years old and mostly unproven. We've got nine years since we began and lots of experience and testimonials under our belts now. The dream of having a legitimate Cannabis Ministry in the U.S.A. is being realized; I celebrate it every day.

If you go to youtube and search 'man bets with weed' you will find some dude placing a bet in vegas with some bud. When the cop asked (the casino called them) what he was thinking he produced a 'license to smoke bud' which he had procured from the internet! Verite, I nearly wet myself mate, keep it up!!!!
