Police seized cannabis with a street value of more than £1m

Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at 1315 GMT in East Street.
A spokesman said police, acting on information from the Metropolitan Police Service, had so far seized about 1,000 plants from the disused premises.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled drug and are in police custody.

The latest raid took place in Ash Road, Horfield, where 850 plants and eight sacks of harvested plant were seized.
Officers who discovered the plants in 10 growing rooms at the house arrested three men.
On Wednesday, a total of 2,028 cannabis plants with a street value of more than £1.4m were seized in Bedminster and two men aged 30 and 39 were arrested.

Going on the amount of raids bristol has seen im sure you could fill this forum with only news of them!

1st raid 1000 plants = £1m
2nd raid 2028 plants = £1.4m

How does that work out?

wtf these guys grew 10 rooms of weed and its barely worth 3 million? those dudes from the other day with the 2 grow rooms produced 300lbs of weed. english people suck at growing weed obviously.

lol stihgnobevoli you should probably read links you're using before making statements such as that. "They say they found 35 fully grown marijuana plants being cultivated in two rooms of the home. The plants weighed about 300 pounds combined, deputies say."

That works out at 8.6 pounds (or 137 ounces) per plant. Even when dried losing 75% of weight, that's still 2.15 pounds (or 34.25 ounces) per plant... bit far fetched do you not think?

Two men charged after cannabis discovered in Bristol

Two men have been charged following the discovery of more than 2,000 cannabis plants at a former bank in Bristol.

The plants were discovered is East Street, Bedminster, on Wednesday.

The men, aged 30 and 28, will appear before city magistrates on Friday charged with production of a Class B drug.

They are also charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and using electricity without authority.
