Lighting question

Sorry if this has been asked before but can a light under the canopy of your plant cause problems? Say you place a small CFL under the canopy to give lighting to cuttings inside a veg cab. Could this cause a problem for the larger plant? If so what sort of problems could arise?

Thanks in advance. :)

No thats fine. Often growers mount lights on the side of their growrooms for extra lighting to the lower buds.

Some people will also say that putting lights down under can take precious plant energy from the biggest cola on the top. If you are scrogging or SOG'ing then I would say trim the lower branches and train the top.

If you are growing bushes, then lights under the canopy can be an awesome way to thicken your plants up and give them that little push during flower and late veg.

Its a LST'd reveg that I have decided to keep as a mom. I was setting her up for a scrog and streched her out to the side with LST. Under the canopy is alot of dead space that I hated to wast so I hung a small CFL and have been rooting cuttings down there. I just wasent sure what kind of things could happen, besides makeing a hedge row lol.
