<grin> I'd be happy to sell you a replacement capacitor that will turn the output of your 600 (magnetic) ballast into a 400, or even a 250 if you choose.

Simon, I've been following your ballast posts - very informative. Actually, I have an old magnetic 400 that I have been thinking of upgrading. My thought process was that if I got a 600 maybe I could switch to 400 during the summer for heat issues.

Now, I am interested in the switchable digital ballasts. I want to switch between 600 and 400 and HPS and CMH without burning the house down.
