Have you guys ever tried water curing your bud? From my reading, the downside is loss of
flavor/aroma/visual appeal, but the upside is 7 days to cured weed.

Anyone with actual experience? I wouldn't do my entire harvest... I'd just do a portion of it to smoke while I waited for the rest to cure normally.

I have smoked some water cured stuff, but never did it myself. From what I hear, most people soak it in water for up to a week(changing water daily of course), then dry it. At that rate, it is still quicker than drying and jarring it, but it is ultra smooth, and the smoke is less conspicuous than "regular" weed(could almost smoke walking around without a question, but it still smells different than ciggi smoke, or anything else for that matter, it may raise some eyebrows)

Good job Agent :) You're using a large area for that 600W lamp but that whole-room reflector seems to distribute that light pretty damn well!
Another perfect example of how imprecise the inverse square law is when reflectors are factored into the equation.

No experience with but that looks like a huge downside and rather small upside.

Well, if you're talking about doing it with your entire harvest, yes, I agree. Not worth it. Connoisseurs are growing because they LIKE the smell, taste, look of properly dried and cured bud. No question.

But what if you wanted some bud to smoke.... outside? Bud that would be less likely to cause an immediate incident if a random cop happened upon you while you were smoking.

Or, what if you wanted to smoke 'cured' bud without waiting a month or more? The water cure is supposed to completely leech the chlorophyll and scent and whatnot but not affect cannabinoids! And it would work within as little as 7 days from harvest!

The idea for me would be to process just enough of the harvest that you have smokables from day 7 and then can allow the bulk of your harvest to sit and jar cure at leisure (rather than dipping into it early, as many here seem to do.)

AGENT: Sorry for diverting your thread... but you're not really using it right now. This at least keeps it bumped up for new readers to discover your excellent work. Tell me to knock it off and I will.

^instead of water curing get bubble bags. you can have something really good to smoke in just a few days, and you dont have to just trash your trim, or leech the flavor outta your bud.
