Growing with LEDs 1 318 and 4 126w

This my first time on here have been growing for a while. I have been testing leds for over a year now. I have to say I am not impressed until I came across Hydro-Grow-LEDs I tried 4 of the 126w and the did very well. I need more light for my gro area so now I have added the 318w which just arrived last Friday the 5th of Feburaury. I must say the girls are loving them. I cracked the beans on 1/13/10 they have taken off. The babys started off under 1 126w as seen in picture. I will updated more tomorrow. I have been adding and editing pics tonight. so here we grow again.

Welcome to IC, Txsbigtymer. I'm sure your grow will generate a lot of interest here; these new LED from Hydro-Grow seem to be the best design going right now, and you will find a lot of folks who will be supportive and interested to see them go. In the hands of a capable grower, there are some very frosty buds coming out, I'm sure you've seen all the test grows in progress here. Others have not been as successful, just like hid growers--some good, some bad. Sounds like you have a taste of success with them already so kudos, we have faith in you.

LED may not be for everyone, but they do have a lot of advantages over hid. HID also has its own advantages, as I think we all know.

If I could speak for everyone at IC, I wish you success and thanks for coming here to share your experiment. We all hope to learn and benefit from your experience with them.

good luck and great ganja.... !:groupwave:

Well thank you for the warm welcome.

Well thank you for the warm welcome.

My first real grow as about 14 yrs ago I was being coached through a grow from this guy with an aero30. I never seen anything to grow so fast... Ever since I have been an aeroponics fan.. I tried a drip system and that is all I can say about. I like it fast and clean if you know what I mean. well back to my grow. I started these in January on the 13th.I have been impressed with this strain. It is growing rapidly. everytime I walk in to check on my girls I see impressive changes and growth..My room temps are between 81 to 85 degrees and my humidity has been low between 29% to 34% but mostly averaging 32%. I started out with 660 ppm of co2, and nutes are at 68 degrees and ppm for veg is at 800 ppm. I have only been using 4 of the 126w LEDS from Hydro-Grow-LEDS. I have the light time set to 16/8 which is working great..here are some more pics.. These pics are from day 10, First day in the aero system. the pics above are day nine still in tray.

Nice and dry, I like it. Why not raise the co2 and temps a little? I heard the upper 80's was good for led's, and with such nice dry air, will you increase co2, and when? Very nice, clean garden, excellent.

Very nice clean set up. I'll be following this one along the whole way. I will be starting a new journal this weekend (providing everything arrives in time) between the ProSource 180w Jumbo and the Hydro Grow Led new 205w, hope to see you come by and check that out when it gets up and going.

It looks about like 9" in between the LED's and plant tops is that correct?

Where did you get your dehumidifier at?

Thanks mate, and best wishes on the grow...

I have a UFO 90 LED and love it, but still use CFLs. You can buy a 300 watt soft white at Lowes/HD for $15!

As you seem to have disposable income, I suggest you check out a different grow system next time around.

Thanks MrBubbakush717 I have used the 120 tri with the orange, I also incorporated the t5's and had good results. I mix the t5s 3 red and 1 blue lets just say on a 4x4 fixture. I also had the 120 on a mover that see to help spread the light..I had the t5's running down the sides and the 120 tri moving down the center. I also use a blue 90 ufo for veg and cloning and it works good for the money. If that is any help for you..

Green, healthy plants! I can see more and more people using Leds nowadays
Do all your lamps produce less or more heat than 250-400W sodium ?

Thanks for sharing Pet Flora. What else do you do with a hobby..lol:jump: Don't be hatin bro.. i am wise in how I spend my money and nothing but the best. Because I can. Thank you very much.

Mr Organic

Thanks for the positive vibes. I checked my temp gun and the 126w show about 85 to 87 deg and the 318w shows about 89 to 94 deg. Not sure about the lights you are suggesting. I have grown with 1k, t5's and now LEDs..

Mr Wize Wizo

The lights are at 9 to 10 inches now ,they were 12inches yesterday morning. I got my humidifier at lowes, it works awesome for my set up. For this grow I have not had to use it yet due to the 29 to 39 % humiditiy factor. It is int the 49% now due to the rain the last couple of days.

And thanks everyone else for the kind words..

Day 5 of flowering

Day 5 of flowering

Everything is looking great. I changed nutes yesterday to the bloom cycle and increased co2 to 1000 ppm, The temp and everything is pretty much the same humidity was up due to rain its at 49 %..I also got some Root porn for the freaks.

:smokeit:

Day 5 of flowering... ( day 28 in all)

Lets bring on the dancing girls.. :dancer:

Now for Root Porn

Very clean setup. Nice root growth also. Out of curiosity (cause I've seen several others do it so far), why do you begin flowering when the plants are so small? I've never utilized that method personally, but I'm interested to see how it does for other growers :)

With that being said, you've certainly piqued my interest and I will definitely be checking in on this grow to follow along with your progress.

Hey Txsbigtymer,

WOW...really nice toys. Thanks for showing.

It's had to tell from the thread...Have you completed an LED grow yet? I'm still a HID guy, but I do hate the electric bill for lights and AC.

Thanks for the reply bro. I am gonna see how this 90w led quad band works in my 3x3x5 veg hut. Each light has 90 x 1w LEDs, 70 RED, 10 Blue. 5 Orange, 5 White so hopfully i can use this to flower also . I read a article in rosebud magazine this month and it has a huge section on LEDS , it says the quad band technolgy is much more efficent than just red and blue spectrums , when you incorporate the orange and white LED its says it has the same spectrum as a MH and HPS ?? We will soon find out i guess but im gonna take your advice on your setup and order 2 of the 126w leds for my 6x6x6 hut before summer hits cause i live in 100+ temps and the a/c bills and heat is getting to be a bit much, hopefully that provides sufficent coverage. Also did you get them from hydro-grow or somewhere else just wondering if i gotta pay the 475 each lol

He knows whats up with all those toys you can tell the man is a pro... I personally like to veg to they get at least 18-24" depending on the strain to get max yields. Im also interested in why you flower so small? Is vertical height a issue?
