I'd say try really hard to keep night temps above 60, in my experience it's the drastic change from day temps to night temps that hurts the yield most. I'm having the same trouble at the moment I'd try to keep day temp between 75-79 and night temps at around 67-72, but sometimes there just isn't much you can do about it.
well, I open up the heat duct from the central heater before the lights go out, it still gets down to around 63, I was going to run lights on at night to kinda kill two birds with one stone, but I've done the night shift before and it doesn't work well for me, usually ready for bed by the time the lights are coming on. it's a tough spot to be in because the most efficient small heaters all put out an orange glow like the heat dishes, but I have a feeling that you're in a much colder climate than I am so what works for me may not work for you, anyway best of luck the girls are lookin awesome!
Yeh I was going to say those dish style heaters, but forgot about the heat glow. I may not be too far from your location, it's just some nights it's getting so damn low. Thank you
I have a 1500 watt oil heater with a programmable thermostat, and I always thought it worked pretty well. I built a room in a room and put the heater outside.
Hey Leb, just a reminder about the carbon filter. . . . . you do have it hooked up now yeah?
How far do you have the lights positioned from the tops of the plants, it looks quite a distance with cooled hoods `n all.
Do you have the hoods fed with air ducted in from outside the growroom, ie odour free air in and out with sealed hoods etc., with a separate exhaust for the room with the carbon can? Or do you extract everything through the hoods and out? Just curious.
I`m thinking that I might have to go for cooled hoods for the summer, what size fan is required to pull from say 2-3 hoods and keep will things cool under the lights?
MedScience, I guess it works, but who wants to use 1500 watts right??
Toke.... uhhhhh hahaha no carbon filter yet... the lights suck air from the same room, but they aren't being air cooled. Its been so damn cold im using the lights heat, I took out the glass from the reflectors. I know they are a good distance, hmm now that you said that maybe thats why they are stretching so much.. in a rush to go, i'll come reply with more soon
