Do people REALLY think growing marijuana is easy?

I'm dealing with this right now, via a collective.

The guy running the grow is a freaking idiot even though he has run a traditional nursery for decades. He doesn't listen to advice from people who know how to grow cannabis, and thus his garden is a disaster. It's so sad to watch him fail, but it also serves him right.

I think cannabis is easy to grow, but I was only able to say that after about 10 years of experience.

Calculus is easy too, but I would never have said that as a first grader. I could only say it after years of accrued math knowledge.

I'm going to say this I'm probably going to get in shit for it but I'm going to say it anyways lol.. Dealing with growers they all think they know what is right and what isn't right. I know that one nursery will not run the show like the other because they just don't think the same . The proof is always in the pudding and just because you do somthing differently doesn't mean you do it wrong. The biggest point in all of this if you really want to get down to the bones of all of this is money and schooling. Find a guy who has both and you have found the keys and a place of-course. That being said having all those things inplace a grow can cost a lot if done right and be a bit complicated if you look at the program for feeding alone. peace out Headband707

ya bigger grows are more effort need partner maybe.
small scale for learning, watch the platn progress over time
know what to look for an keep healthy all of its life
know the different phenos of each strain
learn to take clones
learn different medium soil,hydro,coco.. lights so much info/ways to get these great flowers without dealing with illegal transactions of flower material.

security, keep it on the dl always. big money operation for sure who are you trusting with your energy, many possibility, stay safe (power companies you got that control)

An Amazing OG Recipe I Want To Share With Everyone
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
My name is The Kind Man, I am also known as The Magician, as I have been known to make magic happen Here is an OG recipe that has been around for years. It is very solid and it is not uncommon to pull 1.5 - 2 lbs per light with this recipe when the atmosphere is at its optimum conditions. I had to pull tooth and nail for this recipe for years, and I want to make it available to the masses, as what I went through shouldn't have to happen to everyone
Before we start, here is some background information that may be useful... These have been strictly run on 4x4 tables with anywhere between 8 - 16 plants (depending on the vegetative time) per 4x4 area with 1000 Watts per table. The growing media used is 6"x6"x5.8" Hugo Blocks. This recipe is intended for drain to waste purposes. Strictly geared towards to OG's... Larry OG runs spectacular with this, and the Skywalker OG runs the best on a slight variation of this recipe.
If memory serves me right this recipe caps out at 1800 ppms or so @ the .6 ppm conversion...
Well Here It Is:

Having personally witnessed friends try and grow their own and fail many times it does seem that it is quite tricky if your heart isn't really into it.

It's probably akin to learning a musical instrument. If you don't really want to learn all the ins and outs passionately then you will never be a real musician. Same with growing herb.

Wow I couldn't agree with you more..

I've given away at least a dozen plants in the last month or so, and so far NONE have survived. Every retarded mistake to not transplanting them into soil to burning them with an incadescent grow light. I went so far as to write 3 pages of growing tips for one guy and well the plant still died.

Its a labor of love really..

If you love growing, its _easy_.

Not yet...

I'm a 1st-timer; 5 months of studying up here, with 1.5 weeks under my belt since the door closed and the light went on:

No, not 'easy'....yet. Do-able, but not easy.

Space planning, construction, DIY stuff to balance short bankroll, keeping the sys running when a DIY trick shorted out (exhaust fan on/off switch!), trying to fig out nute reg...pH too high?...temp not quite right...anal neighbors: stealth all ok?...:booked:

Like a damn chess match!
With the squirrel cage in my head running louder than Nascar engines...whew...hit the pipe, dude, HIT THE PIPE!!!...
ok, ok, where was I...lol!

The CONCEPT of growing is pretty easy to follow, once you study up sufficiently and get enough data to think through.

The successful APPLICATION of the concepts is a whole 'nother universe!

Easy? No.
Gettin' there? Yeah; day by day, week by week...

5 outa six have thrown lengthy roots, and they're not croaking...#6 just bein' a slow sativa bitch...
Hit the pipe, dude, and let 'em do their thang while you oil up yer squirrel cage...lol! :drum:
