I'm gonna build a cloner, having tired of hit and miss results.

Heat is a problem here but I can probably keep things cool for 10 days or so,

So what works best Bubbles, Mist or Aero?

None of the above.

Try some passive perlite or coco cloners. Couldn't be simpler, and works extremely well.

The problem with your question is this: Most people have no clue what TRUE Aero is. It is simple and the intelligent way to clone or grow. Think about what you are attempting to do, now think what TRUE Aero does: It provides 10-50 micron atomized fog in the clone chamber. When TAF is combined with a deep cycle timer you are neither underwatering or overwatering the stem. This is the environment that stems need to clone and roots need to develop.

The parts you use for the clonner you simply transfer to the grower.

I bought an EZ Cloner for the same reason- figured it would be headache free. I was wrong. Then I found JJScorpio's cloning guide on this site, bought some Rapid Rooters, and have had truly headache free cloning ever since- if you haven't read the guide, or tried the RR's, check it out before going any further. My EZ Cloner now collects dust.

I recently built an aero-cloner and had some clones in stasis for about 8 weeks. With the aero I had 2 out of 7 root and with the bubbles I had 0 root. Not to say that bubble cloners don't work....I have used them successfully, but from what I have read, the aero-cloners will get the cuttings to root in 3-7 days. Now my 8 week old cuttings took almost 3 weeks to root, but they did.

These are the plans I followed for the aero-cloner. http://www.stinkbuddies.com/downloads.htm
Wish I would have built it smaller, but it does work.....good luck

Depends. By & large I'd say go with the aero cloner, it's the easier method for those who have trouble using rapid rooters or an equivalent along w/the humidity dome. I'm of the mind you don't need the dome if you use rapid rooters or plug trays filled with a medium. But the over-water/under-water aspect does seem to trouble a lot of beginners so aero seems to be the easiest, most efficient way while covering the broadest spectrum of grower abilities.
