The build bug...

Any of you find the building bug hard to resist? Just finished my flower cab https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=153992 - wouldn't ya know it the veg cab started the moment it finished...

That's nearing completion (just need to run the electrics) then... What's next? Still have a ton of material (scavenged some great 18" x18" x 10' aluminum the other day)... But I don't need anymore built for myself...

Still got a bunch of projects on the go - but I like building things... I'm having a hard time not starting up a version 2 of project reject...

How do you guys abate the build bug? Or am I the only one with this disorder?

dude you don't abate the bug you satiate it (albeit temporarily). You've built one thing, now you need to build another. My current grow build project is stalling a little while i wait for materials so i'm considering my mediums for growing in... figuring out ways to improve the lighting...

but there isnt a lot to do on that so currently i'm building myself a customised (dual sim, super camera, custom housing/fascia) cellphone.. this is while i'm also building myself a super xbox 1, and performing routine maintenance on stuff and redecorating bits of my house.

If you've only got one project on, you're a lucky man i often have 7 or 8 at once.. its the tinkering gene.. it's a blessing and also a curse.. means you're always busy but you do learn lots with constant experiments and often get really good stuff...

Just be what you are, a tinkerer.

Lol - I have 10-15 if you include the cars Got the arduino and growshield + led controller when I want to get technical, got the software side of those when I want to get geeky, got the engine swap when I want to get down n dirty, a car to fuck around with, got the winch bumper builds when I feel like I've been working on paper too much and need to get some welding in...

Cabinet building is just fun kinda combines the whole works into one package (well except the welding - but I can always find a reason to weld

i think one common trait is that we all love learning about new things, i know i sure as heck do. always great to pick up some useful and fun knowledge

i wish i didn't live in an apartment so i could make more racket and really make the cabinet that i wanted to.
