Thanks Ghostwolf, the stinkiest out there right now is the Papaya...the others are pretty low key until you rub them :biggrin:

Gotta get you over around these parts for a smoke and greet sometime man!

Take care - ogh
That's great OldGrayHair, I'd love to sample some of that. I have one that for lack of a better description it smells like cat spray or cat pee. The others have their own different smells but that one is the stinkiest.

Slow- as with what ogh said she needs atleast amonth ov veg in soil if u want anything for a yeild and probaly a bigger pot 2  but she looks healthy:yes:

i vegged 1 month bout a foot tall then put outside in 3 gallon and only got a zip from her endded up around 18" tall at cut :smokeit:

ogh how long u veg that bubba for b4 flower ? how big she is in that small pot :yoinks: damn i gotta get with the coco

Gracias amigo for the feedback. She has stretched about 16" since I put her in flower. I wanted to see how she would react under the 600 in the 1qt pot, but will definitely go to 1.5gal coffee cans with a little extra veg time for the next Bubba's I run. The papaya doesn't seem to stretch as much (!) in a cup that's 10 oz less (I only had one of those 1qt soup containers at the time) but she really looks purty at 30 days

I have a couple of mini scrogs (1'x1' screen attached to a 1.5 gal coffee can, hempybuquet-style) of the Papaya vegging out. Their screens are almost 80% full and will go into flower on Monday. I am kinda being forced into a SOG situation for now until my residence situation is straightened out. I will probably be moving over to Citrus county by July 1st so I don't want to set up 4 - 6gal hempy's with a 3x3 screen and then try to move it! I have a couple of fresh clones of the Papaya rooting and will try them out in a 1qt to see how they compare to the bubba with the same root room.

Slocala, totasted should chime in with some bubba knowledge....myself and evl have done them in coco and not had any probs.....but I know I do give her some time to set roots good before flower...that "may" have been where the one posted got stalled.

Thanks OGH! One question (besides the ones below! LOL) Why do you think she stalled? She's stretched well and now has that pretty little button of hairs on the top. The worst I could say about her compared to some other girls I have seen in others' grows is that she seems a wee bit stretched and won't fill out very full but will have popcorn-type buds all the way to the top. Not arguing my friend, just looking for knowledge from the experienced!

To the thread-
I am going to slowly transition to hydro nutes to finish up these soil grows and then use in either pearlite or coco hempy's. I'm torn between PBP and Flora. I have $400 to spend on a pH meter and all the nutes. Anyone have any input given the style of grow I'm doing and the media/soil less that I'm planning?

Oh yea, BTW -
Hey guys I'm here to stay and post some dank FL shizzle
great sexy bitches everyone been posting here good to have a place to kick it :D with fellow growers of the sunshine
Welcome Dr. the more the merrier!

Sorry about my confusion before Slowcala...I had sort of skimmed your post and where you were mentioning the stretch had stopped...I coupled that with something you said earlier about only giving it a week to root out before it hit flower. :dunno: Just a stoner moment...looking back at the shots, she looks fine!

In my limited experience with bubba, and being that I take various size cuts, I don't really time my veg...just try to pop them into flower at about 8-9" and she finishes at about 28-32" That seems to let me get her to that magical 28g dry.

Doesn't "fill in" like other strains, just packs on those hard ass broccoli heads that are so sexy! What a dream to trim.

Granted, I may could get a bit more from her with larger pots...but my system just doesn't allow for that unless they do the whole deal outside. I do urge you to try straight coco and with any good base nutes and you'll love it. I had hempys before, and this is soo close to that. Main difference is the holes are on the bottom as opposed to the raised drain hole on hempys. Feed daily, and no worries.

Wow, I'm high, started rambling, sorry! :whistling:

Peace - ogh

Thanks brother! And for the coco recommend. I found a thread - http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=147954 - where ol' Hempy himself does a hempy with pearlite in the res and coco abouve the drain hole. I'm really itchin to give this a try!

Any recommendations on the nutes?

When Evl got me away from buckets and onto giving coco a whirl, he kept preaching how simple it could be...I kept thinking he was high!

First off what I love about coco is is feels earthy like you are working with soil, you get to water everyday, BUT you get the growth rates of a dialed in hydro grow. I never felt "connected" to my plants like I do now.

Anyhow, my recipe is simple, and from there you can tweak away if you desire...but simple works wonders.

I love Botanicare Cocogro bagged coco. Had a bad experience with the compressed Hydrofarm brand of coco...so I stay away from bricks. But I hear the compressed Botanicare blocks are the same quality as the the bagged.

Thats the medium, no mixing with perlite or anything, straight coco.

I first used the 6/9 micro/bloom formula while I had plenty of GH nutes leftover. Once they were done, and again at the suggestion of Evl (who took a suggestion from Dongle!) I started on using MaxiBloom...which turns out is a dry version of the Lucas ratios, and only 1 part...which attracted me.

In veg, 1/2 tsp of Maxibloom per gallon, my gallons are 50/50 RO/tap.
1 ml of Floralicious plus, and 1/2tsp. pH up. THey veg under 24hr light from a 4 bulb t5.

Flower, 1 tsp Maxibloom per gal, all the rest the same. Then I sometimes do, sometimes don't hit them with some powdered Big Bud as my pk boost of choice.

Crap, that may look like a lot written out, but ask Evl...it's so simple it almost gets boring

Peace - ogh

Thanks OGH, it won't be too hard to push me there. Hempy's thread has me stoked to give it a try. Income tax money will be in next weekend and I'm going to go shopping! Ioni, you be a lucky sumbeech! C99 is the strain I want most! Gotta get them seeds, maybe I'll budget a little tax money for them too.....

Have a great day all, I'm off to Daytona for the Shootout and to watch Danica run.

Woohoo!

SlowCalaToker, Ogh is spot on with the nutrient regimen. I never thought growing dank would be so easy until I read dongle69's 6000w thread. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to nutrients.
Is their more yield/taste/high to be had from adding 15 different additives? Maybe. But this way is so damn simple:biggrin:!
Maxibloom, tap water (sometimes i mix tap and RO, when I can get my lazy ass to the Glacier Water RO machine in front of the local WinnDixie) and the occasional pk booster does it for me.
MaxiBloom and Coco =

Ioni, Ghetto, Blaner, Ogh, here we go again:dance013:
