My first grow ever and in a PC case

It's going to want nutrients soon...but it may be a bit too soon. I would wait until the second set of leaves (its gonna have 3 blades) to grow out a bit more...maybe about 4 - 6 more days, then give them 1/4 teaspoon Grow Big with your water at 6.5 pH. You should of also pick up Fox Farm Big Bloom which can be used every watering and it won't burn your plants. It's a soil conditioner which will give your soil good bacteria. Looking great so far!

Those are cotyledon leaves..they supply food/nutrients to the plant for the first couple/few weeks of life. Once they start turning yellow, it means that they are going to need nutrients soon...so about 4 - 6 days, then start out with very light nutrients. 1/4 teaspoon Grow Big.

Plant A is doing better after a 1/4tsp of grow big:

Plant B is lagging behind it even after some grow big:

and this one and a half week little guy isn't doing so well I don't think:

The plant will eventually kill them, leave them on until they fall off. I'd suggest watering with a very weak nutrient solution, maybe 1/10th what the manufacturer recommends. Then just continue watering using water from now on. There is no 'start up point', you'll just have to start in a few weeks when SHE asks for it.

Once you put on that activated carbon scrubber, you'll restrict exhaust flow which will in turn push fragmented smells outside your case once she starts to smell. I'm digging the layout so far, good job. You may want to throw up a glass plate as a heat sheild to prevent scolding of your plants. Go get a copy of Jorge's book, the 5th edition, it's the best book you'll find, coupled with reading other micro grows, such as my own. ;). My first one (only one i've posted was poor, no nutrients. just straight water and soil.)

I've pulled up a chair my friend.

I'm worried about the carbon scrubber too. Since my case isn't air tight.

try not to "overcare" for your plants esp seedlings

be very careful w/ water let them nearly dry and only water to a slight damp

zero to minimal nutes till they start to need them then gradual introduction

sometimes when you read about a grow it sounds like a lot of stuff all at once but it's actually over the course of months

Those are gonna root bound(bind?), fast. Meaning the roots will fill the entire space of the pots, preventing further growth and dampening present growth. You should have had the pots completely full when you started, not a big deal though. I think you should be planning to transplant those in or around a month to slightly bigger pots (space restrictions though, i know..) Are you giving those full nutes yet?

p.s. plants are looking good though, keep up the good work!

I've been planning on transferring to bigger pots but it's hard finding the right size to accommodate all three of them and yes I am giving them 1/4tsp of nutes.

What should i do about the dying cotyledon leaves. The nutes haven't really been doing much for it.

Lol, I got all freaked out when they turned yellow on my first ever plant too, lol, it's fine.
I even made an emergency post on my old board called "YELLOW LEAFS!!!!!!!!!!!"

They all look good, very nice first grow

WOW!! they are looking great!!
seedlings just need light waterings for sure..no nutes, or light doses, till they look strong...
great job bro..

Nice looking grow bro... how are the temps going in the cab?? I am setting up a pc as well and am now just waiting on seeds to arrive to start.
The biggest problem I had with trials was the heat and I ended up redesigning mine and putting in a heat shield, now I can keep the temps to within 2/3 deg celcius of ambient.
Pulling up a chair to watch and to get inspiration for my own grow.
A pic of mine nearly completed.:gday:
