This guy is full of BS, well I do agree that too many edibles can cause some messed up shit. You don't get messed up to the point of removing your clothing and then "come back to reality" in a such a short amount of time. I've seen people "green out" and puke, I've seen people go crazy, I've seen people go unconscious but after YOU PASS THE FUCK OUT. If he supposedly "came back to reality" after a dose supposedly so strong to make him loose check on reality I don't think he'd have the energy to fight a few flight attendants and have to be subdued. Smells like something else.

Well, do some research because you don't understand the actuality of alcoholic blackouts.

I don't have a problem with the thought that this behavior is within the realm of possibility due to a miscalculation on the man's part about the strength of edibles vs his tolerance levels. I do have a problem with the time line. I do a lot of edibles, and I love to take serious megadoses. It takes 2 hours minimum after ingesting before the requisite state of mind for something like this kicks in, and it's more like 4 before it's realistically possible. Had the plane been diverted and landed in Omaha I'd just shake my head and think 'you gotta be careful with those edibles'.

That being said, megadoses of edibles are the only way I fly, but I just end up sleeping through the flight.

I agree, generally, even on an empty stomach, it's a couple of hours before I notice any pronounced effects.

If 2 hours is all it takes, he had more than enough time. Airlines expect you to arrive 2 hours before takeoff. Depending on travel accommodations to the airport, he could easily have been there 3-4 hours early. Last time I flew out of Pittsburgh, there was a 14 hour delay.

This is not to say it's true but, stories of violence and confusion under the influence are as old as weed itself.

You are conflating two events, the blackout and the behavior. The behavior is not caused by being in a blackout. One need not be in a blackout to have alcohol induced angry/violent behavior, and one in a blackout may in fact engage in very peaceful behavior.

That's absolutely true. I'm basing this on anecdotal evidence but I'd tend to think the two are related.

he went into the bathroom and realized that reality is bogus and that people dont need to wear clothes. halfway through taking off the clothes he got distracted by all the cool looking drawers. he started opening each one looking for the magic answer. then he realized the bathroom was shrinking and ran out of there where a bunch of crazy space cops attacked him.
