Just a quick note to remind everyone that starting very soon, possibly as early as Feb 1, you are going to have to show 100 point ID (picture ID, utility bills, etc.) to buy globes, reflectors, lights and carbon filters in South Australia.

Law went into effect this year and the shops have to start enforcing very soon.

Coming soon also - the Federal Government wants to start censoring the internet - joining the likes of China and Iran.

can buy all your pots, nutes, coco etc no probs but from what ive seen, march 1 is the deadline...

Couldn't you guys buy your mh or hps bulbs for outdoor lighting fixtures? Like the ones over tool sheds, or boat docks.

It seems rather oppressive to say the least, what a draconian government in Adelaide! I'm presuming VIC, NSW, QL, NT, ACT, and WA are all still cool to purchase at? What a loss of personal rights and freedom in SA!

Fu*king Draconians, every day they take a little more, that pack of squeezers in the A.C.T. If what you are saying takes effect S.A. Hydro shops will close down, Thats unfortunate for them. But trade will go on in S.A. regardless, there are many other states & also hundreds of Internet Hydro stores. They will force our South Aussie brethren get a little more shifty, but shit will still happen, "shit will always happen", & thats some good shit!.
Quick tip: Stock up before the big brother camera's are installed.

SATIVEX has been getting a mention here...and being a person listening to talk back radio,i hear ppl's views and the thought of it is being excepted that cannabis is ok for pain relief is being well received ....i just hope we just start taking the next step here and allow medical use of cannabis(the growing and smoking of it) just like the US ???? ....but the way im seeing it if it happened you wont be able to get it if you suffer from sore eye lashes ....may only be for ppl that are on deaths door step...but atleast that would be a start....my pains not going anywhere...but down hill over time.HH. =]-~

yea i did mean to put in "i feel the reason..."....but....with the law passed for hydro equipment....they have added on "pill presses"...?????..... what the hell does that have to do with hydro?....seems like a odd add on?....and with all the other "bikie" laws they have been trying on for size and this ridiculous law and because they have been trying to do this for about 4-5 years before they finally did it ...and with the initial talks about it,it was 1st discussed it was because of the bikies....when we had the "grow up to 10 plants law" they said that was taken away because the "bikies" were getting ppl to grow in their house and being paid to do it..

so hence my opinion....and what you say can also make sense too because i dont think this law applies to lights under 400w....but still that wouldnt work if you had say a 250w cause you still need the shade/light fitting....so seems like the law makers are not very educated when making the law....well thats a 1st hey?(sarcasim) .HH. =]-~

They were going to make it all gear used for hydro, pumps, lights ect and ALL shops that sell those products...but were informed that it would be way to hard to set that up with all those shops, pet shops,hardware ect so scaled it down to making items ilegal/the threat of jail time for such items and limit it to a few items at hydro shops making them "hard to get" thinking it that will impact the most....so yes those shops should be fine...you'll find out if they ask for ID your self if thats where you go......"ummmm left the wallet/photo ID at home....will go get it and be back soon"...and then dont go back and go to plan B...HH. =]-~
