Dual 126 watt LED, 600 watt digital comparison grow.

Nice looking buds. This is probably the first post I've made on an LED thread except for Sleepy's. Just hard to hang in them with the trolling and flaming. Big props to JJ for cleaning it up enough so i don't have to run a gauntlet to enjoy the posts.

looks good. i have an LED grown plant about 6-7 weeks into a 10 week flower and i can vouch for the bud density and resin production

well done m8 the buds u have posted look very nice well iam sold on them just one thing 126=400 hps ? as with my set up i am a bit worryed on the yeald size as from my last crop that has just finished i got 45 oz or 1260g from just 9 plants thats a average of 5 oz a plant i no some had less as 2 plants gave me 14.7 oz from then as my own cross is a good yealder iam worryed that with out the heat that my crop will not be as good as it is atm iam useing 3 600hps + 4 200w enviros iam looking at moveing over to led as i have a 4k elec bill :O( do led do the same a 600hps

I plan on cutting the plants in a few more days. I can't wait to smoke this. I will be sire to get a weight on these and a smoke report. It's going to be nice having a pile of great bud to smoke.

I haven't seen a single one posted yet since 1/11-ish, or roughly 20+ days ago. And from the looks of the HPS plants at 1/6, the LED pics posted on 1/12 look about 2-3 weeks further along at least.

HPS on 1/6 = thin hardly any bud development

LED on 1/12 = Fat budsites

Or am I just kooky?

Here are some pics from today. I wonder what the naysayers will come up with next.

The plants under the LEDs are just as healthy as the one's under the 600. And both groups have rock hard buds. In the next to last picture the cola got to heavy and folded over last night. I should have tied it up higher.Time to chop that one.

Edit: Looks like the HPS side is outdoing the LED side. Only one or two of the main colas on the LED side are as full as the "other" sides total budsites. No doubt this observation (from what the pics look like) will also deserve a "troll" label!

I don't see your comment as being trollish, but Genetics might have taken it the wrong way (dunno?). From what you posted I thought you were complimenting the LED plants while asking for HID pics, and I don't see harm in that. Anyhow hope you stick around and don't take too much offense, as there are a lot of trolls around here that love to prey on LED threads specifically. He may have just been a little confused as I often get sometimes after smoking too much lol

There's been soooooo many people with low post counts trolling I must have assumed you were doing the same thing.

The next run is going to be from clone and the plants will be a foot tall or less when they go to flower. All in all I think they'll be very close in weight when cut and dried.

What I meant were the dates. HPS pics on Jan. 6th looked a few weeks behind the LED pics on Jan. 12th. HPS looked thin with little flower development, while the LED looked MUCh fuller

Maybe it's just the distance in the pics, but the LED plants looked at least 2 weeks further into flower than the HPS. From what I could determine in the pics.

If the post was misleading, then I apologize as well. When I type it it seemed pretty straightforward.

I decided to chop the plants down today so I thought I'd get a few more pictures. In a week or whenever it's dry I'll get some weights and post them.

I think the lights were too close to each other, blending the spectrums. Need a comparison in 2 separate grow rooms. Im leaning towards saying that the LED is being supplemented by that hps to keep up(or vice versa).

not bad at all. I would have liked to have seen a few shots of the led plant along the way without the led on. just to see it natural. Looks like nice chunky buds.

I just wnted to let everyone know the final weights on this grow. For the LED grow I ended up with 171 grams off four plants. It should be noted that I take everything off the stems and stalks and everything is smokable. I could have easily put another four plants under those lights and I'm very pleased with what I ended up with. I think it's safe to say I could easily have done over 300 grams off those two 126 watt lights if I took full advantage of the footprint.

As for the HPS lights I ended up with 154 grams. In defense of them I had 2 plants that didn't fill out well. They were seed plants so I guess it was the luck of the draw.
