I couldn't find any concrete answers in the search results specifically for coco, so I thought I'd come here.
I can't avoid going out of town next month and I had a few clones and a seedling that were already started, so I mixed up coco and hydroton in a 40/60 mixture and made wicked containers with microfiber cloth.
I have read several books on growing, and most suggest keeping the wick 1/2 way up the container. A few others and some responses I found here suggested only a few inches. Which one is accurate?
Also, I blocked light out from the rez since the tub was clear. I figured this was good for algae, but I'm curious how long it can stand there stagnant. I plan on topping off every few days here, but I will be gone for a week next month and I don't want to have a chance at breeding bugs/disease.
Any thoughts or tips you guys have picked up for this system?
