If 'Big Mike' is wrong, I don't want to be right

I watched Big Mikes video where he uses actual spectron analysis (?) graphs of mj in veg and bloom showing what N-P-K ratios they actually need (lots of N very little P). I think you should watch it, because if these graphs are correct, no wonder suppliers are attempting to boycott AN.

http://www.growersunderground.com/blog/hydroponics-articles/the-great-phosphorus-myth-exposed

I went on line and checked all the popular (and not so popular brands) Most of the grow and bloom nutes we are buying aren't anywhere close to what the graphs say they need (surprise coming)! And yet, there is some beautiful looking mj being grown.

The question is How much better yield and taste would grows have if the nutes were actually developed to provide what mj needs at each stage.

After watching the video, I checked my nutes, GH FloraGrow/Bloom, FF Grow Big veg, and Botanicare PBP- Bloom: only the FF Grow Big & PBP Bloom come close to the graphs percentages.

I supplement with sea minerals and FulPower fulvic acid.

After all this, I read an extensive nute comparison thread: AN was one of like 6 nutes he tested. All NPK ratios were posted. I couldn't believe my eyes- AN basic nutes have similar percentages to the competition. SURPRISED? I was! His two examples are bloom boosters- Big Bud and Kushie Kush. WTF?

I'll stick to my basic nutes for now, though DM One is on my short list. I might consider BB or KK if I get over the fact that Big Mike BSd us.

Anybody care to donate DM nutes (or the equivalent) for my next grow journal? My current TAG 2.0 grow journal has over 7,000 views.

I think Petflora is talking about all the videos on http://www.growersunderground.com/ - You can register your email address and get access to them all....They don't spam your email, just send you AN propaganda every once in a while...

You said that Dutchmaster One does well.

Thats one of their lower end nute lines. Would it be safe to assume that the Advance and Gold lines will do as well or better?

I have no personal experience with DM. I went to their site but did not see any NPK ratios. Odd to be sure.

I think he's trying to say fat mike is a P.O.S used car salesman trying to pass off his copies of other proven formulas as AN's own. I liked gold. I still have 5 liters left of A&B. when I run out of micro/bloom I'll use up the gold til its gone.

I didn't mean to go that far. It seems like Big Mike missed the obvious. Again assuming the graphs are correct as to NPK needed at various stages, ANs regular line up is no better than most (NPK wise), and not as good as what I am using.

Anyone that tries to sell you a gallon of "voodoo juice" for $330 is just a joke. Sorry, but what a complete rip-off. And oh yeah don't forget about the water and seaweed extract for $120 a pop.....

But hell someone must be buying these ripoffs, sucker born every minute.

Yea I don't know what to believe except my own gardens results, I can say I find it interesting about the high N thing even though I didn't watch the video. Some of my BEST SOG CFL plants were grown in coco with FloraNova Grow till week 5 then I switched to bloom as I was a newb and thought that's how it was done. Oddly enough I had some damn good looking plants and haven't gotten them that size since so I may give that a try again and see if it was cuz of the Grow bottle being used so long in flower....

here they were at 5 weeks they are the 2 on the left the ones on the right were in cheap soil with the Dr Buds Shultz/Superthrive Fish Emulsion mix.... I ended up cutting the lower branched out buds off in week 7 for smoke like a dummy but I still got 9g colas on them bitches. They would've been 1/2oz plants for sure

That is an AMAZING grow considering you used so little soil per plant! You most definitely have a GREEN thumb.

Plants that size should be in a minimum of 3G containers as the root system is extensive.
