No experience with the jupiter light mover but my friend has 3 magnum xxxl hooked up in tandem on a 3.5 light rail with 1 extra trolly. I know the magnum's are around 30lbs each which is the weight limit of the LR3.5. His light rail is pulling/pushing 90lbs, 3 times the manufactures weight limit and its been up and running for 2 months no issues.

What is the weight limit of the jupiter light mover? I believe these weight limits given for light rails is only for whatever you hang directly under the actually motor. I think you can add way more reflectors/weight if you use additional trolly's.

Thanks for the advice, as for the manufactures maximum weight of these movers they do not know as I have emailed them? They just advised to have 2 x 600s on there mover?? I think I will just try it and see, nothing to loose appart from £200 lol :smokeit:

I personally use the magnum xxxl's, 4 of them, and yes they are a little heavy. I use a mover from Agramover.com. Well actually I have 4 lights on 2 rails with one mover. I absolutely love this thing, super heavy duty extruded aluminum that will hold me and the lights, moving the whole thing at once. hahaha! its great! Much sturdier and better than the light rail 3.5, plus they have all the adjustability you will ever need, extra outlets on the mover to plug fans, etc into. I have 2 of these movers, the other one moving 2 400watters in YieldMasterII's over my 15 strain head stash! Hope this is helpful to ya'll~!

check out stoney419 lighting setup. He has to nice threads on these boards. He has 4 ss2 on a light rail 3.5 + trolleys. I have seen the exact same setup with 4 magnum xxxls, lr3.5 + 2 trolleys, 120lbs worth of reflector... works great, no issues... probably could run a fifth magnum with an extra dolley. The above was with the lower rpm motor they offer.

I like your problem-solving skills. I'm happy with the same set-up in a 3' X 7' footprint. Did you go 6" or 8"?

A light mover for 2 XXXL's would STILL be nice.:dance013:
