messed up some blender ice hash, help me salvage?

So, after reading a few online tutorials i thought id make some easy ice hash with the blender.
well, i took some ice, some cold water, and a handful of decent fresh scrap stuff and put it all in the little food processor.
i chopped it into a nice froth and strained it through a metal kitchen strainer, only a big spoon full of plant material got caught. the rest was mixed in the water mixture.
after giving it a few hours to settle, i went to pull the floating plant material off the top, however, there was no floating plant material.
it was all sunk at the bottom with the resin glands.

after pouring off most of the green top water, i poured the glob of green goo at the bottom through a coffee filter. after wringing the water out, i am left with a hashy cakey green substance.

its obviously full of plant material but was also very full of the trichomes as well.

how do i go about seperating this? i believe the plant material sunk b/c it was fresh (full of water) and that using dry material and not chopping it as much would have been ideal.. but what can i do to salvage what ive got?

can i dry it out and put it in some water and let the dry plant stuff float off hopefully? then try re-straining it?

should i mix it all back together with the blender water too, and just melt in some butter, boil for 25-30 minutes, then let it seperate in the fridge?

whats best here?

thanks!!

yup.
i just filtered it all out, dried and pressed it.

its still pretty decent considering all the leaves that were with the initial scrap material i'd say its about 50% plant material, 50 % resin.
so its still better than smoking the stuff as it was.

lesson learned.... dont chop the plant material to a size equal to the trichomes you want to separate it from.
use dry plant material.

I'm not sure what DIY you read but your first mistake was to put it in a blender/processor unless you plan on making a smoothie. Lesson learned so lick your wounds because it will never be right. Next time put it in a bowl with ice and stir. Or a mason jar with ice and shake............never a processor

Yep.I chop my trim real fine threw a food strainer(the small round ones).I still don't have plant matter in the finished product. Its probably because you used a blender. How did you remove the water?I use a syringe or a straw. With a straw, I just suck it to the straw is fool of water. Then stop it with my tounge and let it out in another container.
