Alright,, I just realized the CFL I'm buying for my mother's box is a few inches too big to fit in my speaker box for the stealth grow =//

Well,,, looks like I need to buy some particle board.

I could use some suggestions on good dimensions for a veg room for my soon-to-be bonsai mother.

also,,,what is a ballast? Do I need one with CFLs on this kind of setup?

You could try smaller wattage CFL's and use more of them to fit the speaker.

I haven't started any mothers yet, but, I would think something along the lines of a kitchen wall cabinet would be more than enough for a mother. Or, if you're going to bonsai her, you could just leave it in the speaker and get a bigger flower box.

The large base of the CFL's contains the ballast.

I know some of it is a bit vague, but, I hope this helps some.

oh yes,, that's all i needed to know about ballasts ^_^ ty for response..

my friend told me that lumens don't 'stack' when I asked if I could use two 2700 bulbs for veging,, as it'd still b cheaper than the 5500 behemoth

lumens add together, but kelvin temp (light color spectrum) does not.
