Water temps for mixing/feeding nutrients

Hi, during the winter months I cant keep my res much above 15c/16c. The nutrient manufacturers give guidance on mixing nutrients at 20c.

Obviously they leave a margin around that 20c mark, but do you think I`ll run into problems with precipitation of elements?

Also I give a fairly fast hand feed to my plants once a day, would the plants benefit from having their feed a little bit warmer than 15c/16c?

Cheers Toke:biggrin:

Most things I've read suggest that around 18c is optimal, so if you're going to hand feed I'd aim for that. You could get an aquarium heater at a pet shop for little money as well. >$20

Yeah mate, thanks, that`s what I`m debating, whether or not to pop a heater in the res. I think I`ll pick one up tmro and see how they like it a little warmer.

Cheers Toke;-)
