Can this size pot veg and flower a plant, without being rootbound?

can this complete a grow, without the roots being rootbound.? Its a 2-quart pot.:

for the pothos plant shown in the picture, sure that size is fine, but for cannabis?,...no

if the plant gets much bigger than 12" high, that pot is too small.

the thing will need water DAILY once it gets bigger(maybe even twice a day)
YES it will be rootbound, the roots and the plant will mirror one another (in a soil grow), so if your plant is 36" tall, the ROOTS want to be 36" deep, and take up an area similar to the width of the above ground parts.

your showing a HALF GALLON POT(2 quarts=1/2 gal),.....I grow in 5 gallon pots, and some say those are too small, and when they are full size (36"-40" tall) they need watering about every 3-4 days

get bigger pots is my recommendation, at LEAST 3 gallon size

I would recommend growing in coco coir..but yeah those pots are too small for soil..Ive personally experienced how plant growth just stops when they get root bound..its not nice

maybe with a auto dripper system you would be fine

I have grown plants in pots like that before... I had to feed them everyday.

Is a PITA, but can be done

at LEAST 3 gallon size

I concur, 3 gal is the min size I will flower in. If you get a 3gal get a tall 3gal not the squatty ones. Usually they are used for roses. I prefer 3 gal for Indicas and 5 Gal for Sativas.

I start in these : Kinda like an Air Pot.

Then go to a 5x5" pot like these:

Then finish in a 3 or 5gal pot. I use square pots to make most use of what room I have.

2 quart is way to small--even for autoflower. 3 gal minimum for indica, and 5 gal for sativa. get the round pots.

Plants can most definately be flowered out in this way with a little planning and regular attention but might not be the best way for you depending on your needs and setup.

Ten litres and up would certainly make for an easier and less stressfull grow if you cannot guarantee daily attention and require the best yield.

Over the last five years have slowly downsized the pots and reduced the nutes and have ended up at 1.8 litre useing a JI soil mix and hand watered with no additional feed.

Tested down to 0.8 litre and the yield and growth was supriseingly good , foot high bonsai looking plants but watering was very difficult and abandoned.

Pretty much everything i have posted was grown below two litres and it does the job well enougth if plant numbers are not a legal issue.

Best compromise was found by experiment , light enougth to move and extract at arms length in a tight grow and manageable for some elderly locals who help me out.
Just sufficient soil mass to to require once daily watering in full bloom.

Rootball autopsies show solid rootmass but not damageing in itself , biggest problem is drying out but a dripper would stop that.

The reason i changed was to run the maximum possible number of test plants under one 600 , two litres is just enougth to flower plants untopped from seed or a short vegged clone to 80 days.

Used to run 6 - 8 well vegged plants in a pemanent floweroom and going to 50 - 60 small collumnar plants has dropped the total annual yield by a third and requires a lot more time and effort but far more interesting.
All the seed i have sent in was done on plants in tiny pots and the viability is near 100% despite being totally rootbound at 90 - 120 days.

Would not reccomend Blueberry or other aknowledged sensitive crosses this way as it does add some stress or heavy thick leaved indicas as their structure does not suit .

With pure Hazes and Zamal crosses have found they perform better and will actually finish properly if the roots are restricted.
