Nutrient Opinions...

Hydro only...and I am in hydroton for the next couple cycles(bulk load)

I have used Botanicare's PBP, GH Flora Series and am on DM Gold right now...

I know Advanced is supposed to be in a league of their own, but how much of that is gimmick? What's up with their 'kushie kush' product? What about 'Aqua Flakes' from Holland...any good?

I like to sit a little low on my ppm, normally 3/4 feed. Water temps tend to be 60-65ish. I use a hydrologic tall boy so my tap comes out at 200ppm, but I have low C.

Any in put would be sweet...

House and Garden Aqua flakes are the bomb! I use aqua flakes, roots excel, drip clean, multi zen, algen extract, top booster, bud xl, and shooting powder...So far I'm really liking the results. I would also recommend Canna before I used Advanced Nutes...just my:2cents:

Edit: With the House and Garden I don't even need to adjust ph....pretty sweet.

Proabably not the right time to be asking about advanced nutrients without beeing labeled :) But if i were to advice anything it would be to stay away from brands that promises more than they can deliver, use ghe or any other well prooven nutrient, it'l work just as good.

I have alot of friends that use both ways. Usually if they do soil they perfer Advanced nutrients. If they were doing hydro the pick GH. I would pick GH, if I was doing hydro. It will be easy on your pocket.

I have nothing but good things to say about advanced nutrients, and prefer it over GH nutrients. Although some of their products are overhyped such as the "kushie kush," their three part system, big bud, and bud blood are fantastic. PM me if you want a good feed chart.

I just lowball it with GH MaxiBloom dry nutes. Reasonable cost and it's balanced out nicely for ganja.

GH is like a toyota. It get you to work if you on a budget. If you have extra budget. You can always upgrade it. Advanced is like a lexus. If you have extra have money to pimp your grow. If you just start out. I drive a toyota to get to work and earn my money to buy a lexus. Instead struggle with the payment on the lexus. I see alot of people spend too much money on the begin and can't afford to finish it. Instead the basic technique and nutrient that you have learn and bought. You have to consider extra money for problem you might have. Every grower experience or new always land on a problem. I love both GH and Advanced Nutrient. I just want to see another grower do good.

Nutes are only part of the equation, skill is a major factor on the outcome of a grow. You can do well with all the nute companies you mentioned.
Good luck.

Big Foot: I'd be interested in what you have for a feed schedule. You have to have 50 posts before you can send or get PM's.

Peace...

thank you for all the info...

I have heard both sides of Advanced and I will just have to try it myself...

Connoisseur is what I want to experiment with along with a few other additives. I was only seeing if anyone had tested AN's promises...I am very open minded and have no complaints about anything that was listed...I want bigger, tasty'er', frosty'er' nuggets just like you. GH tends to be a little cleaner than the rest of the products I have used...as far as reservoir growth and line clogs. Botanicare is very organic(large particle) and DM seems to be fairly clean.

Every time I go to the hydro store someone is grabbing a bottle of the 'aqua flakes', I was wondering if there was some magic in that bottle too, or if everyone grabs it cause it's from Holland...cause I know DNA Genetics ships Botanicare from Tempe, AZ to Dam. So, it must be what you are comfortable with?

I have used AN Grow 1/2 and Bloom 1/2 both preformed great. As for root stimulator I would recommend B'cuzz it's great in fact my next nutrient purchase I will be trying the whole B'cuzz line.

I've heard a lot about the Kushie Kush and that it really does make a diff with MMJ, but I haven't personally tried it out myself.

Course, I've never really had any troubles with AN's nutes, so I'm sure it's good stuff. I'd search around a bit more on the forums to see what people who have actually used it are saying.

I just stick with the basic nutes, nothing fancier than the Grow-Micro-Bloom or Sensi A&B. I don't want to ramp things up and have a big harvest that I can't use. Well, I'm sure I could use it, but you know, too much can be too much sometimes....

:booked:

F--k that, what am I saying? The more the better....

advanced nutrients = hydro

advanced nutrients = hydro

Um, I think you might have the nutrients info mixed up, dasmoke.:dunno:

If you ask ANYONE, Advanced Nutrients is the one to choose for hydro. While it works well in soil (I've heard, I don't really know), Advanced Nutrients is specifically designed with hydro in mind. It's easy to mix, works well in a number of setups....blah blah. You get the idea.

And if you look into any of the other forums, you'll be sure to see that the pros suggest AN first for hydro grows, then other companies.

Sure, other companies may work well for hydro too, but for my money and my time, I think Advanced is the way to go.

I mean, maybe you just have them mixed up, but it's something I wouldn't follow if I wanted to get an awesome harvest. Just saying. :comfort:

Nutrients just come down to the recipe. That's all. All the manufacturers mix for their target crop. They all work the same, no AN's claims are
completely BS but they have a money back guarantee and frankly their formulations are cheeper per feeding.
