Lack of Smell?

First timer here.. wondering if the LACK of smell is indicative of any problem.. bout 4 weeks into flower.. nice top so far... but I remember my prior (aborted) attempt being really stinky.. this one has nearly no smell at all.. bagseed.. FF nutes and FFoF soil...

It's better if we knew what you were growing, since it's bag seed it could be genetic, especially is the pollen donor was "ditch weed" aka Hemp, which wasn't usually pungent. Other things that kill smell are overfertilization, low humidity, ozone, and CO2 late in flower. There are also many strains that don't get their smell until the last few weeks of flower, so you may still get a good smell, it may just not be the right time yet.

Well, i definitely had low RH.. like 12% for most of the grow.. just recently corrected that.. overfert I dont think is a problem..

I too have experienced the "LOW RH equals LOW SMELL" phenomenon..... now I use a swamp cooler which of course cools and as an added bonus, raises humidity. I try to keep it around 50%..... CO2 buners also release humidity as a by-product when they burn propane to generate CO2.

Try to get some seeds of known orgin for your next grow, it's really tough learning when you don't know if it's your seeds that suck, or if it's something you are doing. Much easier if you know the seeds are solid. Of course, a clone is maybe even better, but I guess if you could get a clone you would have used that in the first place.

Happy Growing!
