Re-Creating Orange Crush at Home

Can anybody help me out here? I have read on the forums that Orange Crush is no longer available. So I figured I would make my own in my secret underground lair.

I have obtained some DJ Shorts Blueberry and True Blueberry beans recently.

I know that one of those is half of the cross. When I searched all I remember seeing is that it was crossed with California Orange Bud.

I have Nirvana's California Orange Bud and also Dutch Passion's (which I don't like as much as Nirvana's).

I will start using the 2 strains I have already, but what was the original Orange Crush made with? Whose Cali Orange?

I would like to recreate this strain and donate some beans for the server fund and/or freebies on the Boo.

This is gonna be a project in a half, I cant wait to see the results. Even if it isnt the same it should still be great. are you gonna back cross like 6 different times to get it to be IBL?

Both strains already have nice highs so you can breed for flavor.

My buddy has the original Orange Crush cut still. Its super stanky and dangerous to grow! PM me if you want to save yourself the effort... if not, good luck.

There is no "original" orange crush clone. Vic high from BCGA made orange crush using the california orange clone (not any of the cali-o seedlines) and crossed it to a blueberry that he got from marc emery which was a F2 of Sagmarthas blueberry, which is actually DJ shorts blueberry LOL hopefully that makes sense.

I will have to second the Chimera/DJ Short collaboration C-Plus (Cali Orange mom and DJ Short Bluberry dad).

Or if you just feel like breeding up ya own version-best of luck, sure you will do a bang up job.

I am going to do a lil seed patch with the blueberry as the daddy. same with the true blueberry daddy... Hope I don't get all girls... lol.

Wow,sounds cool because around 97 or 98 I crossed a Cali-O with Bubbleberry. The best pick of the litter had a great orange smell and look,but with the added potency and bud cluster of Bubbleberry. The lavender hues came out around 45 days,hairs were really orange. Pine orange smell fresh,cured and smoked with a good orange flavor. People liked it and requested it,so I kept it around until I myself started needing more room for the heavy duty strains.

I heard that the blueberry Vic used isn't very dominant in crosses and most of his BB crosses resemble the moms. This is probably true because every Orange Crush I have sampled was straight orange cream soda whereas C-plus samples have been more "blue".

My friend has been commercially cultivating Romberry and Orange Crush straight from Vic Highs hands for over 5 years, I was going to self a clone of it and send the seeds in as freebies or something but it seems like a few people are doing orange crush and it would probably just add to the ever growing confusion with this strain (damn people calling anything with a hint of orange "orange crush" booo! )
