Need DWC solution advice

So, I'm going to start a micro DWC for fun alongside my regular grow with clones I took.

Roots are coming out the sides of the cubes, so I need to put them in the unit today. I'm a DWC noob and was wondering what solution to fill the rez with?

I have FF, GH, and GO lines and I also have Hygrowzyme. I will be using Bushmaster to keep them small.


Please help. They need to be transplanted today.

The nutrient line is up to you, but make sure to start them off half strength. DWC is an active system and tip toe until you get things dialed in. If you are using net pots with hydroton or another media you mite need to handwater for the first few days until the roots start to bust out of the net pots like they did the cubes. I am getting ahead of myself, what are you transplanting into?

The clones are in rockwool that had been cut to be pretty small. I used Botanicare's Power clone liquid and have using it as the foliar spray. There are a small amount of roots coming out the side of the cubes.

I am putting them into net pots with Hydroton.

Aero suggested the GH nutes at 1/2 strength.

This is a micro grow just for fun. I don't really need to worry about stealth. Here's the pics of where it's going. I am building a custom rez today. This small thing wont do. Also, I'm under no illusions that I will only get 1 plant in there. Maybe 2. I will be using Bushmaster too.

Yeah..-v- has a point about hydrotron clay balls...if you've got a 3/4-1 inch layer of hydrotron clay balls on the bottom of the netpot, place rockwool on top and sidefill with more balls.
Have the nute level to 1/2 inch below bottom of netpot...use half str nutes for first few days...the explosions of water from the airstone directly under the netpotshould help new roots appear...

Keep the rez temps in check and supply adequate air to the roots. I would suggest a low to no veg time. Also start as many plants as you can and cull them if space permits. Better to have extra than not enough.

I fired it up and the heat was at 82 after an hour. I may have to get a rez cooler. I have a heater, but obviously need a cooler. I'll probably add another fan too. I have a thread for this in the micro too at https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=155214.
