yeah looks more like a cross to me. afghan kush is supposed to be an indica with big wide and dark green leaves. but there's also an afghan sativa. you might want to call your friend and ask for more specific details about the genes behind your plants. buds look nice.

First pic is from the day they were chopped. The second is from the second day. I have it drying.
