How Should I Start Out My Auto Flower Seeds?

I heard some post's on here saying that with Auto Flower strain's it's best not to keep transplanting your plant's and it's best to just start them in the finishing pot size.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, what about if your planting them directly into the ground?

1. Should I just stick the seed into the ground?

2. Should I germinate the seed first and then stick the germinated seed into the ground?

3. Or should I germinate the seed, put the germinated seed into a small cup, let it grow a 2 - 4 inches, then plant into the ground?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Just a little side note, I don't live near any animal such as deer, rabbits, etc.

Thank you.

I normaly germinate my seeds in a moist paper towl. then i transplant them into "Peat pucks" and let them be for a few days under Cfl's untill they look ready and have a decent root system, then i just plant them in the final pot

Check Hisser's thread "MDZ Bluestreak and the chamber of secrets"

He planted the seeds straight into the final pot and kept misting the surface every few hours to keep it humid.
Out of 4, 1 sprouted within 3 days and the others followed the next day.

Autos grow fast and have a limited veg time before they go into flowering, so its best to plant directly into the last pot in order to save yourself precious time (since transplanting usually stunts growth for a day or two as a result of stress).

i suppose it works this way for all plants transplant shock can last for a few days maybe even longer it is just more noticable with autos with there short life cycle

the key is less stress more sucesss ! good luck my friend

Tony, im running auto's rite now and have transplanted a few 3 times with no shock at all..when germinatin beans i always use a cheap heating pad..put 1 or 2 towel's on top of pad then put ur beans that are in wet paper towel on a paper plate, then cover with another paper plate and towel..never seen any seed take over 24 hr's to pop and have a white tail showin..if u do this just make sure the towel is nice and moist at all time's..after they pop , put em in the cups..then transplant after u sex em..good luck
