question for lst'ers

How big would of a canopy would I end up with if I veg and lst all the way around the edge of a 10 x 10 square pot?

I want to run 3x 1000w's in aircooled hoods over a 4 x 8 and a 4 x 4 flood table but was wondering how many plants per light based upon the above veg and pot size without the canopy being too crowded

Whatcha growin' #1, how do you mean 10 X 10 pot, #2 and how high is your ceiling from tray bottom to lamp? I'm an old school lst'er, just hand over the info and I'll show ya' some big one's I have going now...

1. most likely pre 98 bubba
2. 10" x 10" x 10.25" for the pot size
3. from tray bottom to lamp i have about 5ft of space

That seems like plenty of space for that cut. I have some pre-98 bubba X Sensi Star and as seedlings vegged for about 5 weeks so far they are about 30" off the bottom of the tray. They are not big fast growers or stretchers for the 12/12.I don't think you would have to lst at all with cuts and a 3-4 week veg.You could fit one nice cut for every 2ft square. I've grown lots of bubba crosses from Motarebel and Elite and the weed was great but the plants were not the lst variety unless you vegged forever. Here's 2 diesel cuts I vegged for about 50 days and lst'd.

so basically i could run 8 plants nicely veg'd in the 4 x 8 and 4 plants in the 4 x 4, with a 4-5 week veg what kinda yield do you think you could expect with the right pruning on the pre 98? was hoping for 2# per light but i know i will have to dial her in first

I may be out of my element on this one but that cut will not throw that much bud.Unless you really love that cut you might want to find something a bit more prolific but I couldn't say for sure as I've only run back crosses and hybrids of the pre-98. You just don't want to go into it hoping for some pounds and end up with ounces, trust me I've been there. Now if you said you were going to throw that kind of wieght with a MNS SSH or La Nina I would say break out the twist ties, lay out the lines and lets grow some pounds!!..regardless good luck to ya', Chaco.
