Lumenarc 3

I have been doing a lot of research about reflectors and have just recently stumbled upon a lot of talk about the Lumenarc 3. They seem to be really big in the reef community and there is a lot of data out there. There was actually an experiment conducted by a guy named Sanja and it showed the footprints and intensities of several reflectors. Long story short the Lumenarc had an extremely uniform footprint. As a matter of fact it is the best i have seen for covering a square area. So my question is why don't i hear about them in the cannabis community. I am planning a NGB cab and they seem perfect for covering a 2x2 scrog.

Lumenarc's work great in a reef situation because in order for the light to penetrate to the bottom of the tank, it has to be intensified downward and not have a spread like most gardeners want. Most indoor growers grow in an area bigger then 2' x 2' and with 1000 watt grows being the norm, you want the biggest footprint you can get.

They are the shiznit on reef tanks though. Have had both the full sized and mini's on a lot of tanks.

That makes a lot of sense. I plan on doing a scrog with a footprint of 2x2 using a 250w HPS. So in this case will the Lumenarc still be one of my best bets. A lot of the experiments were conducted on a 2x2 area at 6in above the canopy. Which is exactly how I will be using it.

Thanks for the input i was pretty sold on the Lumenarc 3 after seeing all of the info on it. The only thing that was still bothering me was that i hadn't heard anything about them from the cannabis community. However the statement about most growers looking for a larger footprint makes a lot of sense. The Lumenarc's seem to have the perfect footprint for me and plenty of info available on them.
