Plant quickly browning off

I posted this in the thread about my first grow but this is probably a more appropriate place to put it.

Here is a link to the grow too...

These pics were taken yesterday and it has definitely gotten worse in the last 24 hours, any help would be appreciated.

The leaves that are affected dry out and are kind of crunchy, not sure if that will help at all.

I went in to water this morning and a few of the leaves on bagseed #3 and 2 leaves on the basil plant looked like this...

Anybody know what it is? Its not too widespread, so it might not be an issue, but i cant help but worry a little bit as today is only day 20 of flowering. I was thinking it might be a PH issue so i checked and my ph is just a bit high, just a hair over 7. Anyone think this is it? Could it be a calcium deficiency? I'll get them some milk if need be  Only other thing i can think of is temps have gotten a bit high as we got really hot here recently, canopy got up to about 82 for a couple of hours the last few days... just waiting on my inline to get here and that will not be an issue anymore though.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? ~50 days
How Tall are the plants? 2.5 feet
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? flower
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) just topped
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 3 gallon grow bags
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) 50% mix of (peat, perlite vermiculite, lime) 50% FFOF, + 1 cup blood meal & bone meal & 1/2 cup lime (blazeoneups mix)
What Nutrient's are you using? no feeding
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
How often are you feeding?
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? ~7-7.2
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? dissolved "pill" in runoff water, shake, match color
How often are you watering? 3-4 days
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using? 600 hps
What is the distance to the canopy? 1 foot
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) ~50%
What is the canopy temperature? 76-80
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) 80, 65
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) open room, fresh air from outside is drawn in via a box fan and a creative system, will have 400cfm inline within next 5 days
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? yes
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? no
Is your water HARD or SOFT? hard
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? tap, but sits out for at least 24 hours
Are you using water from a water softener? no
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's? no

Your pH is off and it is causing lockout of nutes... It probably isn't a deficiency... I would guess that your pH is even farther off than your tester is telling you... The buffers in your soil are probably all gone at this point... Try adding some Humic and Fulvic acid to your nute mix and use some Beneficial bacteria/fungi to help... Also some limestone powder (it's a good buffer) might help in mid flower especially if you are worried about calcium/magnesium deficiencies

is there a good solution to lowering the PH that might commonly be found around the house? The hydro shop is closed today and I do not know if i will have time to get to there tomorrow before they close.

maybe some vinegar?

Edit: if vinegar works, whats a good percentage to use, TBS/gallon?

thanks in advance.

i watered heavily with a ph downed water using apple cider vinegar, new water was at ~6.5 and trimmed off all the really bad fan leaves. Will post pics in a day or two, hope it works and no more leaves die off.

Don't rush the fix. Let them dry out and flush with a ph of 6.5 to start and lower it to around 6.3 on the next watering. You don't want to drown em out trying to fix the issue right?

Definitely not, luckily for me it was their scheduled watering day. The browning is continuing, but it seems to have slowed a little bit in the last day or so. Hopefully after a couple more correct waterings she will be on the path to recovery.

Thanks for the advice!

Don't forget too that the damaged leaves never heal and will die....don't let that panic you into over correction. Let them die and fall or pull off and you will see the new growth looking healthy and green.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. It appears to only be on certain leaves. Maybe 10% or so. I'm in my 4th week of flowering. I'm thinking the pH is way too low - my runoff was at 5.4. My medium is coco coir at the moment. I did a flush and then fed her at half dosage with no pH adjustment.

I'm thinking what caused this was my new entry into my nutes.. ever since I added Big Bud powder to my feeding regimen, I've probably been using too much pH down. Big Bud is pretty acidic on its own, so that's probably why my plant is suddenly going "oh shit, why is the pH so low?!"

Either way, it's only about 10% of the plant. I'm hoping the flush did the trick.

okay so after two good waterings of PH downed water, the problem is still persisting, although it does seem to be slowing down a little bit. Is there anything in particular i should look for that will tell me they have taken a turn for the better? it just seems like they are dying off still, albeit slower than they originally started doing so. Also there is some growth that was still 100% green and health y just a few days ago know showing a couple of spots... is it normal for almost all the leaves to die off then new healthy frowth to come in?

Here's what the leaves are looking like now...

early today.

Again thanks for any replies!

Above it says you are not using any nutes? Bloom nutes will lower your solution ph and provide some buffering to bring down that ph a little easier. I never used vinegar, but sounds a little unsure to me. Try Bloom nutes and that should bring ph down and provide flowers a little nutrition as well. Just my 2.
