I would like just .05% of what they take in. That way I could pay off my bills and get my wife a new wheelchair.
That is inaccurate. It has been found he is not guilty of anything except poor tax filing procedures. This has been fully vetted on CNN and other new agencies last week...old news...
But, a good point is to NOT donate to his charity simply because it's small and not as much money goes to Haiti as that when donating to Red Cross, etc. I go over all this in my thread...
Physical help comes from money. That's how it works...that is why one should only donate to BIG and well structured NGOs ALREADY in Haiti like the Red Cross.

The list goes on and on.
Just hoping the aid/monies gets to the folks who need it most and not the corrupt "government" there...

Haiti was screwed up before the earthquake because of outside influence. ever since they rebelled against the french they've been f over literally by bigger governments. they were never given a chance.

I always thought Haiti was a 3rd world shit hole even before the earth quake. I never even heard one good thing about Haiti before all of this, I even thought it was on the list for tourists not to visit.
I cant wait til the US builds a huge military facility and missile silos, the US is like a vampire, if you invite them in your screwed. We bring religion and weapons whether you like it or not.
I almost think people are making a bigger deal out of Haiti then they did hurricane Katrina. Madonna must want to adopt all their babies or something. I for one will be pretty pissed off if Obama starts using my tax dollars to rebuild that place. Especially since Haiti was never and probly will never be in a position the help the US in any way.
Dont get me wrong I feel bad for the people that are homeless and hungry, but Haiti didnt seem much better off before all of this happened.
And another thing I dont understand, the US is in the middle of a recession/depression, why dont we hold a telethon to help out our own homeless and hungry.

I like the whole statement but these last 2 phrases really fit my sentiments perfectly. We aren't in a true crisis, the crisis America is in was self-created and will now be detracted from as other "bigger" more important things come about, we are a country told what to do by the media and its truly just horrible. Turn off the T.V. and start thinking for yourself today.

If you think the US is controlled by the media now, just wait. Next November the political system will be flipped on its head, now there is NO limit to how much large corporations can spend on electoral candidates. The corporate machine now owns us, we have been sold out by the man. I give it a few years, there will be a revolution of some sort.
